In mid-September this year, Chen Li, a good friend of my high school days who had emigrated from China to the United States, went back to Chongqing to visit her relatives. To welcome Chen Li, a dozen of her high school classmates happily held a get-together to recall school days and talk about their lives at present. We also agreed to have a high school class reunion at the end of the month and invite one of our teachers, Mr. Liu Daoming, to join us.

Speaking of Mr. Liu, Chen Li became depressed and whispered to us: “It’s really a pity that teacher Liu, the most amiable one among our teachers, has been paralyzed and bed ridden and won’t be able to join us. I’m going to visit him in a couple of days.”

Upon hearing her words, Shen Qiong, who worked in Gao’an Town of Dianjiang County, was taken aback: “Mr. Liu has been teaching in No. 3 Middle School, and now is the vice principal there. Just a couple of days ago I went to the school and had a chat with him for quite a while. Who told you that he was paralyzed? "

Chen Li was thrown into confusion: "I read a news report on a website in the United States saying Mr. Liu became paralyzed after a sudden cerebral haemorrhage during the 2007 Spring Festival. And it claimed teacher Liu was punished by God because he persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.”

A few days later, we accompanied Shen Qiong to pay a visit to Mr. Liu in the No.3 Middle School. As we got to the principal's office, Mr. Liu immediately recognized us. When he learned that we had come specially to see him, Mr. Liu greeted us warmly and shook hands with each of us in excitement.

Mr. Liu’s full name was Liu Daoming. He taught in the No. 5 Middle School in Dianjiang County of Chongqing City from 1988 to 2002, and then worked as vice principal in the No. 3 Middle School from 2002. When we told Mr. Liu about the news published on a Falun Gong website, he smiled and said to us: “For so many years, Falun Gong has been playing the dirty tricks of frame-up, slander and rumor-fabrication. Now you see with your own eyes that my health is terrific. How could I have been paralyzed? The false information they have spread around will definitely turn into a rock falling on their own feet! "

After hearing teacher Liu’s remarks, Chen Li said with emotion, “Apparently Falun Gong is good at fabricating stories to deceive those who are unaware of the facts. And in reality, Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong do not attach much importance to “Truthfulness” as they have boasted. I’ll tell this story to compatriots and local people when I return to the U.S.A., and I am sure that they can tell right from wrong.”
