Attaining 'all-round fulfillment' through self-immolation

Chen Guo, a 19-year-old pretty girl, was a gifted student at the Central Conservatory of Music. In order to gain "all-round fulfillment" preached by Li Hongzhi, Chen Guo and other six "Falun Gong" addicts set fire to themselves on January 23, 2001 in Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Fortunately they were rescued, except one who was burned to death on the spot. Afterwards, Chen Guo said: "I thought that through self-immolation I could attain all-round fulfillment and go to Heaven."

Li Hongzhi said: "You should forget about life and death. In this way you can become gods, otherwise you can only be mortals. If one does not forget about life and death, he can never achieve all-round fulfillment." He also said that "Many heavenly worlds do not allow you to bring your own bodies," but "I can make all the 'Dafa' disciples fly up to Heaven with their bodies, no matter they want the bodies or not. Those who do not want their bodies will melt in the air to become a rainbow and then fly to the sky."
