It is reported by Zhang Chen, journalist at Sinovision.net that the local Chinese in Flushing confronted with Falun Gong again. In the morning, when Falun Gong practitioners gathered before Flushing Library, a large number of local Chinese launched another spontaneous protest against them.
The local Chinese present held that China was suffering from a disaster, but Falun Gong tried to take advantage of the natural disaster to realize its evil political intentions. All the upright Chinese would not tolerate such outrageous activities and were greatly indignant. They shouted “Come on, China” and strongly denounced Falun Gong, and all were immersed in the atmosphere of solidarity and patriotism. They remarked that Falun Gong practitioners were also Chinese, but they had not donated a penny to Sichun quake victims till now, instead what they were doing and spreading not only hurt all the Chinese people but was inconsistent with what they have claimed about “truthfulness, compassion and tolerance”.
Standing behind the protective hurdles set by the police, the local Chinese launched waves of strong protests against Falun Gong. So Falun Gong had to retreat to a Flushing subway entrance, where they were soon besieged by groups of Chinese people. At last, the Chinese people did not drop off until the police took away Falun Gong's demonstrating boards.
Since last Saturday, Falun Gong has gathered outside Flushing Library for three times to spread the rumors that the earthquake was related to China's government. Without any sympathy for the quake victims, Falun Gong practitioners even played the gongs and drums to attract more attention. The Chinese passers-by and the people who came to donate were all indignant at Falun Gong's shameless performance. So more and more local Chinese gathered to protest against Falun Gong and such protest lasted for 4 hours. However, two days later, Falun Gong diehards appeared on the same site to play the same trick. The local Chinese never showed any sign of weakness. Anytime when Falun Gong emerged, the local Chinese would gather to show strong protests. Although the local police had given permission to Falun Gong's gathering, the police have said clearly to the crowd that Falun Gong practitioners would not appear near Flushing Library tomorrow.
