A Ukrainian court ruled recently that a Falun Gong cult entity in the Dnepropetrovsk city had been engaged in illegal activities, according to the Kiev anti-cult association.

The Dnepropetrovsk court said in the ruling that the Falun Gong League, which was registered in 2002 as a cultural civil group, had been engaged in political activities, which had a negative impact on Ukraine's relationship with China.

The court also affirmed a report by the anti-cult association, in which a professor with the Moscow Medical Academy maintains the League's touting of being able to cure diseases without administering medical treatment violates scientific laws and poses harm to the health of people.

The League filed a lawsuit against the Dialogue Center, a unit of the anti-cult association, after the latter revealed its illegal activities in a newspaper article in October 2005.
