Li Hongwu Jumps off the Cliff for 'Consummation'
On August 10, 1998, a 28-year-old Falun Gong practitioner jumped off the 100-meter cliff at the Dragon Gate of Western Mountain in Kunming, Yunnan Province and died. Three days later, people found his horrible remains. He was called Li Hongwu, a graduate with university degree and a translator of Physical Education and Sports Committee of Yunnan Province. He began to practice Falun Gong since 1997, and being obsessed so much, he went on a blind alley in less than two years.
Li Hongwu's wife said that in 1997 Li got a series of "Falun Dafa" books and video cassettes, and then he refused to eat meat and practiced sitting meditation on bed like a log and didn't move a little even under mosquito bit according to the heresy of "truthfulness, compassion and tolerance" advocated in the books. The couple relation remained in name only. Gradually, he became distant even to his own daughter, and often lowered his head and stared blankly in the courtyard for more than an hour, sometimes thought aloud, claiming he was "chatting with the Master." In order to seek "truthfulness, compassion and tolerance," Li Hongwu refused to eat meat, claiming chicken would be hatched in his abdomen if he ate eggs. Watching TV must be soundless for fear it would affect communications with "the Master" in order to "go up," "towards Consummation." Menaced by Li Hongzhi's words such as "Earth is but the garbage dump of the universe," "globe explosion," "doomsday" and allured by "towards Consummation," with great trepidation and hanging in mid air, finally he discarded his wife, daughter and old parents, jumped off the cliff and died for seeking "Consummation."

Falun Gong Ruins He Qun's Family
He Qun lives Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, In May 2002, when he became sobered from nightmare, all was impossible to retrieve - the previous happy family had broken, he was sent to prison, and his old parents had to bear debts from him under the terrible blow of single son in prison, and daughter-in-law and grandson left.

In July 1999, Chinese government banned Falun Gong according to law, at that time He Qun was unwilling to admit the fact Falun Gong was a cult. Meanwhile, Li Hongzhi continuously released "scriptures" from abroad, claiming the time of "Consummation" was coming, and one would lose the opportunity and be "eliminated and destroyed" if "couldn't step out" (in confrontation with the government). Under such a menace and for sake of his own "Consummation" as well, he began to engage in illegal activities. Finally, he was arrested by printing illegal leaflets for Falun Gong.
In the detention house, he continued to resist the law by means of fast as advocated by Li Hongzhi. His parents, wife and son came to persuade him. when his mother knelt down, weeping and begging him to break away from the evil cult Falun Gong, he didn't show slightly mercy.
