2. Li Honzhi's theory of people do not have real family members in the world

Li Hongzhi advocates "Primordial Spirit gives birth to human," claiming that the man's real mother is the one who gives birth to your Primordial Spirit instead of the one in the world who gives birth to your flesh body. Li Hongzhi purposely cut off blood ties of human beings and as a result, some of the Falun Gong practitioners do not even recognize their own parents, let alone other family members.

"The one who gives birth to your Primordial Spirit is your real mother. In the course of Samsara, you have had mothers who were human and non-human, and there are too many of them to be numbered ... Who is your mother? Who is your son or daughter? No one knows it after one passes away."[1]

It is elementary knowledge to every body that a mother gives birth to her child. Li Hongzhi's fallacy of "Primordial Spirit giving birth to human" derails viciously the moral principles of human society. As a result the Dafa disciples, in the name of "Protecting the Fa," "Getting into a high level," or "Reaching Consummation," disrupt human relations and disown all their relatives, taking for granted the love of their own parents. Some of them leave their ill parents unattended at home, turn a deaf ear to cries of the hungry children, and remain callous when their parents kneel down and dissuade them in tears. Furthermore, some Falun Gong disciples even remain tearless when their parents die.

Liu Chang, a former Falun Gong practitioner, once told the reporters in an interview that she came from "the paradise." Although her father had been down with carcinoma of the rectum at home, she felt absolutely untouched, never showing her father a bit care.

Zhang Zhenyu, the victim mentioned in Falun Gong Deprives Me of the Last Chance to Requite My Mother, was once obsessed with Falun Gong practice. When his mother was terminally ill, he was not only callous to his mother's suffering, but also blocking the way when others tried to carry his mother to hospital. He had never fulfilled his filial duties. Even after his mother died, he still did not kowtow or cry in tears.

To cut off worldly affections of Falun Gong followers, Li Hongzhi viciously preaches: "Regard the world as an inn," telling the cultivators that their real family members do not exist in the world. The world, in Li's word is just "an inn for a temporary stay."

"In this life you are my family member, but in the next life who knows who we will be related to. Just in this lifetime is our relationship predestined. It is just like staying at an inn: you lodge there briefly for a night and then part away the next day. Who could possibly take someone else's place?"[2]

"Who are your real relatives? ... From one life to another, how many parents, wives, sons, daughters, sisters and brothers have you had in each lifetime? ... You are even unable to count them… Which ones are real? ... Your real parents are in the place where the universe created you. That is where your parents are… Therefore, your real parents are right now watching you over there, hoping that you will return; but instead of returning, you get lost here and still feel that your relatives are all here."[3]

Bewitched by Li Hongzhi's preaching, the Dafa disciples believe their real parents stay some where else in the universe, high above this space; their relatives in this world are nothing more than guests with whom they stay temporarily at "an inn." Why should we cultivators miss these "guests?" Further more, according to the theory of Samsara, your family members in this life will not necessarily be yours in the next. That is why the Dafa disciples do not fulfill their filial duties to their parents, nor they worry about relatives or assume family responsibilities, disregarding the affections of kinship.

Zhao Xiaoping, the victim mentioned in Falun Gong almost Makes Me Isolated from All My Relatives and Friends, once believed that she could not get into "a higher level" or gain "Consummation" unless she had discarded family emotions and other worldly attachments. She cut off almost all connections with her daughter, relatives as well as neighbors and became utterly isolated.

He Qun, the victim mentioned in Falun Gong Ruines My Family, counted for nothing the family affections with the purpose to "return to Paradise" and free himself from the abyss of misery. Later he was arrested for printing Falun Gong leaflets and breaking the law. Yet he challenged the law by staging a hunger strike in prison. His parents, along with his wife and daughter, rushed to the prison at the news, trying to comfort and dissuade him. He Qun was callous when his mother, kneeling down before him, begged him in tears to reconsider on behalf of his old parents and little child. He Qun himself had really succeeded in laying down the worldly affections he was sentenced to seven years imprisonment, but his parents were forced to carry the life burdens, repay family debts, and above all, stand up to the strike of a broken family since his wife and daughter left his parents eventually.

3. Li Hongzhi's theory of replacing sentimentality with benevolence

To alleviate the guilty conscience of Falun Gong followers who have abandoned their kinship affections, Li Hongzhi has purposely fabricated the notion of "benevolence" as a substitute for human emotion, making Falun Gong followers feel at ease and justified when they give up affection of kinship or do harm to their beloved.

"If you are free from this sentimentality, nobody can affect you. An everyday person's mind will be unable to sway you. What takes over in its place is benevolence, which is something nobler."[4]

"If I really cultivate well in this regard, if I am really not affected by emotion, I'll be just like a big rock. No, it's not like that at all - cultivators are compassionate, … when you truly have compassion toward sentient beings, then there won't be any more emotion to trouble you, and none of your family members that you have an issue of emotion with will again say that you're heartless towards them."[5]

"After a human being gets rid of emotion (Qing), his compassion will come forth."[6]

So the cultivators do not feel guilty because of giving up affections of kinship; or they even feel noble and lofty because by discarding human emotion, the cultivators raise themselves to a high level as the enlightened beings, and that's not selfish or heartless at all. As the cultivators have it: "The emotion of ordinary people is at a low level and selfish; but the emotion of cultivators is to show mercy to all sentient beings, it's unselfish."

As mentioned above, Zhang Zhenyu is a Falun Gong victim. When his mother was critically ill and still worrying about him, Zhang insisted on going out and seeking Consummation on ground that the cultivator should not be driven by an ordinary person's mind or rigidly adhere to human emotions. A cultivator should seek something nobler.

Zhao Xiaoping, also a Falun Gong victim mentioned above, believed that to give up human emotion and attachment is to get into "a higher level" and to "show mercy to all sentient beings."

4. Li Hongzhi's theory of repaying with blessings in paradise

Li Hongzhi succeeds not only in making the cultivators feel at ease and justified to abandon kinship affections, but also in making them feel extremely noble to do so. According to Li Hongzhi'sfallacy "A portion of the lives that you harmed will become beings in the paradise you will have after you Consummate,"[7] those Dafa disciples who have harmed their beloved are actually heroes because they "bring paradise lights to others." As a result, the disciples find an excuse to feel at ease and justified when they abandon kinship affections or harm their beloved. Li Hongzhi advertises:

"A portion of the lives that you harmed will become beings in the paradise you will have after you consummate, so it will turn into a good thing."[8]

"If some of us have done great things, or have done well in our cultivation, these persons' parents might even benefit from the connection and be saved and brought up …People say that when a person does cultivation, his ancestors acquire virtue, and that if you succeed in cultivating Buddha-hood your parents will have acquired great virtue."[9]

Li Hongzhi also has invented the notion of "being rewarded with fortune" to cover up the harm that Falun Gong disciples have done to their beloved. Falun Gong adherents often comfort themselves: "We know that our family members have suffered a lot because of us, but we will repay them many times more in the future." Some of them even blindly believed in Li Hongzhi's fallacy of "saving people to Consummation," cruelly killed their beloved. What is more, they call the killing "Rewarding them with fortune."

Zhang Zhenyu, as mentioned in Falun Gong Deprives Me of the Last Chance to Requite My Mother, was totally cheated by Li Hongzhi's fallacy of "When he succeeds in cultivation in the future, he will get whatever he wants just by holding out his hands, and he will have anything he desires. He can do anything he wants, and there is everything in his paradise." And "When you succeed in cultivation, you may take your family members as the beings in your paradise." Zhang was totally poisoned and bewitched. He heartlessly harmed his beloved, comforting himself with so-called "Rewarding with fortune." His only goal at that time was to get away from present world.

Liang Xiuyun, another Falun Gong victim mentioned in Falun Gong Changes Me into an Inhuman Puppet, also believed in Li Hongzhi's fallacy of "One will benefit all family members by practicing Falun Gong." Yet she brought nothing but serious damages to her family. In 1999, her father was sent to hospital for hypertension. At that time, she took seriously every word Li Hongzhi said as a decree. Especially Li's fallacy of "Being ill is a way to let out one's Karma. If you take medicine, you press back the Karma." She also tried to persuade her father. Totally bewitched by Li Hongzhi's fallacy of "Eliminating the Karma," Liang Xiuyun simply took her father back home, forced him to practice Falun Gong and "remove the Karma." Her father, being forced to reject doctor and medicine for a whole year, lost the optimum chance to recover, became paralyzed in the end. Today, Liang Xiuyun still feels deeply guilty and regret for the irretrievable loss her madness has brought about to her father.

5. Li Hongzhi's theory of saving all sentient beings

It is still a limited "benevolence" for the Falun Gong disciples who try to give up kinship affections and reach personal Consummation, even if they can save their beloved that they have harmed. Furthermore, since the personal perfection or Consummation is nowhere in sight, Li Hongzhi is forced to extend the responsibility of Falun Gong followers. Li calls on his followers to "save all sentient beings," intending to give them a more sacred excuse to abandon family and kinship affections.

Li Hongzhi emphasizes that, to save the sentient beings is the "historical responsibility" of Falun Gong disciples. In Touring North America to Teach the Fa, Li Hongzhi preaches: "So for you, personal Consummation is minor," "Your cultivation is absolutely not a personal, simple matter of reaching Consummation." Li continues: "If a lot of beings in the world came with extraordinary backgrounds – if they are Kings, Lords, and Gods of huge cosmic bodies – then what they represent are huge cosmic bodies and numerous groups of beings. When you save such a person, think about it, aren't you saving a God? He's probably an extremely high-level God."

Later on Li Hongzhi says in Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference, "As you already know, Dafa disciples have gone through the process of Consummation, and history today has bestowed upon Dafa disciples an even greater responsibility: not your own liberation and Consummation, but saving more sentient beings. That is why you deserve to be Dafa disciples."

On May 27, 2006, Li Hongzhi preaches in the letter to the Ukraine Fa Conference: "The Consummation of Fa-rectification Period Dafa Disciples is Dafa creating the Great Enlightened Beings of the new cosmos, so this makes your responsibilities that much greater. As you progress in cultivation, your mission of saving beings and dissolving the evil and the old factors' interference will naturally converge with your cultivation."

According to Li Hongzhi, the Dafa disciples cultivate not only for themselves, but also for numerous sentient beings on the huge cosmic bodies they represent. If a Dafa disciple does not cultivate well, all the sentient beings on the huge cosmic body he represents will be doomed forever. To reach personal Consummation, a Dafa disciple has to "save all sentient beings" he represents. In another word, a Dafa disciple certainly will not be able to "reach Consummation" unless he has saved all the sentient beings he represents.

Li Hongzhi points out solemnly that "to save all sentient beings" is the precondition of Consummation. On July 22, 2002, Li Hongzhi advertised in Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference: "Right now, your Consummation is first and foremost. Of course, your being responsible to Dafa and saving sentient beings is part of your Consummation."

On February 26, 2005, Li spoke at Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference: "Our work is not yet completely done, though, and in terms of personal cultivation, each step might be critical in determining whether each Dafa disciple can reach Consummation."

Stipulating that "saving all sentient beings" is the precondition and requirement of Consummation, Li Hongzhi has completed in theory the transition from "the personal Consummation" to "the collective Consummation," making Consummation even more impossible for Falun Gong disciples to reach. In the endless, tortuous course of seeking Consummation, it is absolutely inevitable that the Dafa disciples stage tragedies of disregarding kinship affections and harm their own beloved. Below are some of the examples.

Zhang Zhenyu, as just mentioned, abandoned his critically ill mother and little son to advocate the Fa and save all sentient beings; Zhang Biao, another victim of Falun Gong mentioned above, in order to save all sentient beings, went everywhere possible and secretly distributed Falun Gong leaflets. To do so, Zhang Biao counted his infant daughter for nothing, although his daughter was the first child in his nine-year marriage; he heartlessly left his wife and the infant unattended, even if his wife was still confined to bed in childbirth while his daughter was no more than a month old.
