Zhu Xianyi (English name: CHU YIN-YAT), male, born on April 12, 1962, was the activist of Falun Gong in Kowloon as well as an editor of Epoch Times in Hong Kong.

On April 20, 2009, Zhu Xianyi died of illness suddenly.

The sudden death of Zhu Xianyi caused ideological confusion among practitioners of Hong Kong Falun Dafa Association, which gave rise to so much discussion that Kan Hung-cheung, the head of Hong Kong Falun Gong organization, worried the information of Zhu's death would cause large fluctuations among Hong Kong practitioners, so he and Hong Kong Falun Dafa Association required the members of the Association should block the passage of message, controlling the insiders in small range. No one can spread it without permission. Kan claimed that American "Fa Conference" was around the corner, Hong Kong Falun Gong organization should not bring the Conference to a pretty pass because of Zhu's death.

But the information has been revealed finally, some Falun Gong practitioners of Hong Kong are surprised at this and they can't understand why the disciples who were "diligent and did so much for Dafa", like Zhu Xianyi etc., all "passed away in the prime of life," which is not in keeping with what Li Hongzhi has said. Many practitioners show their dissatisfaction with Kan's actions and thought that he didn't do a good follow-up work for Zhu's death. Even some practitioners believe that it is Kan's behavior lead to such unoptimistic situation of "promoting the Fa" and practitioners' death in quick succession in Hong Kong.
