Li Hong, female, working as a doctor for over 30 years since she graduated from a medical college in 1968, was a Falun Gong practitioner in America.

Li Hong began to practice Falun Gong in 1997 under the influence of her daughter. She distributed newspapers of the Epoch Times near the Chaofang restaurant in Main Street, Flushing, New York for a long time. During the "Flushing Incident" in May 2008, she propagated Falun Gong actively on the street.

On February 8, 2009, Li Hong died of illness.

When Li Hong was critically ill, Xiao Jin, the Falun Gong backbone in America and the general manager of Broad Book called on Falun Gong practitioners in New York to send forth righteous thoughts strongly with the hope of helping her pull through and saving her life.

The Falun Gong high-level personnel in America take Li Hong's death as taboo and are afraid that the spreading of similar information would shake disciples' faith in Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong, which might have bad influence to Falun Gong organization. Therefore, American Falun Gong organization tries its best to prevent the message's spreading.
