Falun Gong member Huang Caihua fined in Singapore

Dec. 6 (Kaiwind) – On November 25, 2010, Subordinate Courts of Singapore announced that Huang Caihua, a Falun Gong member, was found guilty of harassment and other three charges. She was fined 5,000 Singapore dollars totally.

On July 3, 2009, Huang Caihua was charged for his carrying Falun Gong banners across the Chinese Embassy, which violated the Miscellaneous Offenses Act and the Criminal law of Singapore.

In the early of May, 2010, Singapore police detained Huang Caihua and other six Falun Gong members, since they insisted to carry banners and distribute flyers in the main shopping avenue, regardless of the police’s dissuasion.

On November 30, 2006, Huang Caihua was fined 1,500 Singapore dollars for “annoying others through displaying contumelious posters and banners”. She has been in custody for 15 day for refusing to pay the fine.

This time, Huang paid the fine and was released by the court on 5000 Singapore dollars bail. If she refused again, she will be detained for 5 weeks.

On November 23, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Cai Yongshui was sent to prison for 6 weeks for  refusing to pay a fine of 6,000 Singapore dollars.
