I'm Chen Manyi, 47-year-old, living in the Block No.52-4 in the Dongyuan Housing Estate of Liaoning Province, northeastern China. I am a worker of the Fuxin Gas Company of Liaoning. Today, I would like to share a story I've experienced at my neighbor's funeral on June 26, 2009, which really gave me a shock.

My neighbor Wang Guiqin, who was born in 1951, was a retired worker of my company. Hardworking and unadorned, she was a woman of few words. We all called her "master Wang" or "sister Wang" with respect since she was older than us.

In May 1998, sister Wang started practicing Falun Gong in the hope of curing illness and keeping healthy. With in-depth practice, she was generally more infatuated with Falun Gong, firmly believing that it would help her eliminate the evil karmas and keep fit. We often saw her sitting on the chair alone, crossed-legged, doing the meditation for quite a long time with her eyes closed and palms put together in front of the chest. Eve since she practiced Falun Gong, Wang had become indifferent with her work. We saw a complete change in her actions as she used to be optimistic, hardworking and willing to help the others. When we talking with her, she couldn't help propagandizing the advantages of Falun Gong and trying to persuade us to join.

Under her influence, her daughter, Guo Yang and son, Guo Wei, also set out to practice Falun Gong and were both possessed by it.

Having persisted in practicing Falun Gong, Wang, however, got nothing in reward. Due to lack of access to medical treatment, her diabetes mellitus got worse, which forcing her to retire in advance in 2000. After her retirement, Wang was more addicted to Falun Gong. According to her husband, she practiced Falun Gong everyday, from dawn to dusk, setting her mind to scale new heights of accomplishment so that to achieve consummation. They could do nothing but let her be.

One day in May 2008, Wang Guiqin was sent to the hospital because of her sudden faint caused by hypoglycemia when doing Falun Gong practice. With emergency treatment, Wang was out of danger. In spite of her illness, Wang Guiqin refused to take medicines; instead, she kept on practicing Falun Gong because she believed it could help her suppress the diseases. As her neighbor as well as colleague, I had tried many times to persuade her to receive medical treatment and went for check-up regularly, however, either herself or her two kids, has sneered at my suggestions.

At 1:00 a.m. on June 4, 2009, Wang Guiqin died of diabetes at home at the age of 58.

On June 26, with great sadness, I attended Wang Guiqin's funeral together with other colleges. At the funeral, we found something unharmonious. We noticed there were tracks of joy rather than sorrow on the faces of Wang Guiqin's two children, who should have been brokenhearted for the death of mother. As Wang's friend, I was busy with the trifles of the funeral.

At around 8:00 a.m., I helped Guo Yang and Guo Wei to receive the ashes of their mother. When we were going to put the ashes into the urn as the temperature getting cooler, Guo Yang stopped us all of a sudden, and began prodding her mother's ashes with a small stick over and over again as if searching for something.

"What are you looking for, sister?" Guo Wei asked.

"To see is there a Falun in mom's ashes," Guo Yang answered without raising her head.

"Anything? Can you find the Falun?" Guo Wei asked eagerly while bending down with his eyes' fix on her sister's stick.

After a while, Guo Yang finally stood up and replied, poker-faced: "Nothing. Probably because mom's achievement is not good enough, so there is no Falun in her ashes. "

I was pretty shocked to hear such words from Wang Guiqin's children.
