I witness Pan Quanying’s death for refusal to medical treatment

I'm He Haixiang, female, Han nationality, born on July 9, 1957 in Handan City, Hebei Province, senior high school education., In order to strengthen physical health, I became one of the Falun Gong practitioners in August 1997 guided by Pan Quanying, a Falun Gong instructor in Congtai District of Handan. After I sobered up, I decide to share the story of Pan Quanying, who died after refusing medical treatment.

Pan Quanying, female, Han nationality, born in August 1945, primary school education. We were neighbors. After her retirement in June 1995, Pan Quanying began to practice Falun Gong in order to relieve her ennui and improve physical health under the influence of other practitioners.

Being well-informed and having a good memory, Pan Quanying soon became an active role among Falun Gong followers in Handan. We called her "sister Pan" at first. After she became an instructor of the Falun Gong practicing spot in March 1999, we began to call her "instructor Pan". She seemed quite pleased with the title and reputation.

It was in a morning of July 2001, Pan Quanying told me under the rose that many Falun Gong practitioners were going to achieve Consummation soon, and so was she. I was pleasantly surprised and envious of that. On that very day, I asked my daughter to leave school for one day in order to witness the great moment of their Consummation with me. We have waited out all day, from dawn till dusk, but nothing special had happened - the great moment of Consummation didn't appear. Excited and anxious, they kept pacing to and fro and were all at sixes and sevens about what to do. It was dawn finally, Pan's pipe dream of achieving Consummation fizzled at last. She blamed her failure on her unconsummated accomplishments, so she made up her mind to make the best use of every spare minute to further improve her attainment of Falun Gong on a higher starting level. She said she had confidence that she would achieve the Consummation in three or four years. 

In a blink of an eye, five years had passed. Pan Quanying's Consummation still remained in suspense, but she had always adhered obstinately to the belief.

I could still remember November 18, 2006, that day I went to see her. She left me at the living room and then went to the bathroom. I had been waiting for nearly 20 minutes, nevertheless, she didn't seem to come out. At last I shouted and asked: "Why did you take a long time in? Are you okay?" "I'm fine...." She faltered out with a feeble voice, which made me feel so uneasy because she used to be a glib person. I could sense that something bad was going to happen. Immediately, I ran into the bathroom and just to see her gazing at some bloody bumf on her hand. I couldn't believe my eyes due to the fact that she had been in menopause period for seven or eight years. It couldn't be her period, I believed. Noticing my astonishment, she had to own up to his illness that she had been in this situation for more than five months.

Her husband tried to persuade her to see the doctor, but failed. What's more, she even drove away the doctor who came to see her at home. In utter despair, her husband had no option but to let her be. In such circumstances, Pan had never doubted Li Hongzhi's preaching, but firmly believed Li would always protect and bless her in "another space" instead. As Mr. Li once said, in the eyes of the God, those who merely wanted to get more from Dafa rather than giving, were people with the worst life. He also said, “As long as your level of awareness goes up even just a little bit, those bad things of yours are shed some at the same time. And along with this, you have to experience a little hardship, go through some hard times, and eliminate some of your karma, and then you can raise your level a bit." Having no doubt over Li Hongzhi's theories, Pan thought it was worthy to endure suffering.

On April 21, 2007, Pan Quanying's husband called me, telling me her wife was yelping at home because of ache. He asked me to give a helping hand because of Pan’s refusal to medical treatment. When I saw her, this old lady was hunching in a corner, clutching her stomach with sweat pouring down from her face. I became suspicious of Falun Gong’s preaching upon recalling Pan Quanying's suffering over the past half a year. I called Doctor Huang of Handan Municipal Hospital at once, who is also Pan's relative, to prepare for emergency case. Suffering pains for hours, Pan was too weak to move a step forward. At last, she was sent to the Handan Municipal Hospital.

Just as we expected, Pan Quanying was diagnosed with rectal cancer. The cancer cells had already metastasized through out the body, mostly in the lung, resulting in severe failure of all physical functions. The doctor said she just had less than four months left. To make things worse, Pan Quanying refused to be in hospital. When persuasion failed, the doctor had to let her leave with some medicines.

On July 12, 2007, Pan Quanying's husband called me again, saying Pan's symptom had developed into serious convulsions over the entire body with wry mouth. When I reached her house, Pan Quanying just breathed her last. Her two kids were wiping their tears. How stupid Pan Quanying was! She was in fact killed by Falun Gong in the end, to which she had been devoting herself wholeheartedly for the so-called Consummation for 12 years. Li Hongzhi, the great master in the eyes of Pan Quanying, didn't show up to rescue her when her life was hanging by a thread.
