I'm Fu Shaoxi, male, 75 years old and I live in No.35 of Lane 1, Xingfu Village, Youjiang Community, Gong'an County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. I have a big house with many rooms, so I usually rent some idle rooms for money to subsidize family expenses.

On one day of October 2010, Ni Youmei came to rent my house by the agency of Tian Degui, who did grain and oil business at the same street. I rented two rooms on the second floor to her at a rent of 2,600 Yuan a year.

I felt she was a little weird when she just moved in. She had husband and son, why did she rent a place to live alone? I was puzzled. Later when talking with her, I knew that her husband Yuan Fu was a driver of a building materials company, and he retired early after the company reorganization. Ni Youmei was so active in Falun Gong usually that she not only practiced Falun Gong at home, but also brought fellow practitioners home for practicing and Fa studying. Her husband couldn't stand her behavior like this, so he sold the apartment given by the work unit and bought another in Wuhan to live with their son.

Ni Youmei still got Falun Gong on the brain and often exchanged experiences with fellow practitioners by telephone. She and her husband didn't get along well and the relationship between them became tight due to her addiction to Falun Gong. Her husband and son always persuaded her patiently not to practice any more, but she never listened and still practiced and sat in meditation early in the morning every day, which drove the family crazy. At last Ni Youmei proposed initiatively to go back to their hometown Gong'an County, with which her husband and son had to fall in, because they had been tired out. Then they sent her back to Gong'an and rented rooms for her.

Ni Youmei sealed the window with paper as soon as she lived in my house. Her life was monotonous and mysterious with her door closed all day long. Sometimes two or three elderly women came for a visit and they closed the door tightly, nobody knew what they were doing there. Out of curiosity and care for the tenant, I wanted to have a small talk with them, but the door was locked from the inside. They said they had something to do and couldn't let me in. After seeing that Long Dezhen came here for several times, I realized that they practiced Falun Gong in the room, because I knew Long Dezhen before, who often practiced when she worked in river course management department.

After living in my house, Ni Youmei hardly ever contacted with the outside world. Sometimes she only had one meal a day and when she was hungry she ate some steamed bread and pickles; except for practicing and sleeping, she did nothing, which made her as thin as a lath.

My wife Duan Youyu cared for her very much, asking her if she was ill and if she was, she should go to hospital. But she said seriously that, "When you got ill, it was removing karma and a test from the Master. It was indevout to take medicine and injections, you would suffer retribution. As long as I sent forth "righteous thoughts", the Law Body of the Master would come and help me abolish diseases, then I would get well naturally. You should mind your own business." Sometimes when I gave her advices, she even persuaded me to practice Falun Gong and introduced some benefits that Falun Gong could bring, such as "going up to the heaven", "reaching Consummation", she also told me that, "One practices, the whole family will benefit."

Ni Youmei practiced harder in December 2010. She always sat in meditation in front of the Master's picture, sent forth "righteous thoughts" and sometimes read Zhuan Falun and some pamphlets. During that time I found that Ni's face turned yellow and her legs became bloated gradually. She got thinner day by day, and at last she couldn't get up from the bed. Even so, Ni still didn't forget to sit in meditation, send forth "righteous thoughts" and practice Gong with the help of her fellow practitioners.

Before long, Ni suffered more severe symptoms. I asked her to go to hospital promptly and told her that there was nothing more important than human life, but she refused and begged me not to tell her husband about her illness. I had no choice, but to ask for her husband's contact information from Long Dezhen and tell her husband and son to come.

After arriving at the house, her husband and son planned to send her to hospital. But in order not to be sent to hospital, Ni threatened them with death, and still kept practicing Falun Gong on the bed.

Over 2:00 p.m. on December 29, 2010, namely three days after her husband and son's arrival, it seems that Ni was on the point of death, so they called a car to send Ni to hospital for rescue. But unfortunately, she breathed her last on half way.

I've heard that on January 28, 2011, the Falun Gong website published an article, saying that Ni Youmei was persecuted to death. It's totally a rumor.
