Authorities had to forcibly remove three children residing in the home where adults claimed to be waiting for the end of time.

Neighbors in Chorrillos have reported screams and shouting for several of weeks coming from a home located in Jr. Carlos Mallet. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that a group of 11 people were voluntarily residing inside the home awaiting the end of time.

Gloria and Maria del Pilar Quiroz Santana are two of the four daughters of Antoinette Santana and Francisco Quiroz. As a means to generate extra income, the family decided to split their house in small rooms to rent out.

After the arrival of Kirian, a native of Nepal, the sisters became isolated and, after a few days, they persuaded their tenants to lock themselves inside the property. Their so called 'mission' was to prepare for the afterlife.

“The Quiroz had always been happy, cared for their parents. It all started when the Nepalese arrived; he got into them, [who knows] what ideas,” commented neighbors.

After reports surfaced that among the occupants were children, agents of the police station in the district of Villa, representatives of the Public Ministry and the Ministry of Women, entered the home on Wednesday and removed two sisters, ages 9 and 14 years, and a baby of seven months. Their mothers, and other adults decided to stay.

Authorities reported after that the baby was in good health and was receiving medical care in a nearby clinic. The other two children were turned over to their father.

“They talk about the end of the world, but it seems that it is only the end for them,” neighbors insist, alarmed by the fact no one leaves the house for food or provisions.

Sources from the Ministry of Women evaluate a new visit to the home to check on the health of the other adults.

Immigration announced that there are no records of a Nepalese man named Kirian having ever entered the country.
