A bloody show

2009-03-26 Author:By: Derek Bush

For receiving a ticket and having the chance to attend the Divine Performing Arts show in Cincinnati on Dec. 23. I was the lucky one. Sitting in the fourth row, I had looked forward to the performing arts claiming to be the 'Chinese traditional culture'.

However, the actual contents of the show made me disgust and hard to understand. The opening performances are very attractive and the stage effects are excellent. A variety of ancient Chinese characters make me dazzling. I watched the approximately 10 programs around, and then I am half-way out of the show. The whole performance is full of one small part of dance with Dunhuang culture, other jerky drama and dances, most of which attack China and obviously there is political flavor. Some scenes of bloody and cruel jam in the show. From the people haring fliers at the door, I know the performances are publicity of Falun Dafa.

Moreover, the Chinese traditional culture show includes many traditional European instruments, which is ridiculous. It's the first time to see such kind of performance in Cincinnati. My wife thought we should never have come to see this it.
