I have read the article by Dr Wenji Wang about the Falun Gong cult which originated in China.
I do not believe that a better and more apt title could have been chosen for her writing. Definitely, what she wrote can never eradicate the sufferings and lives of the poor misguided followers and practitioners lost through the extreme and heretical fads selfishly promulgated by the self-proclaimed "Master" Li, the founder of the Falun Gong cult. The present number of people who have died due to their practicing of Falun Gong, which totals over 1,600 followers, is already enough testimony of this.
This does not include the larger number of persons who are suffering serious physical and mental problems, such as depression, hallucinations and delusions through Falun Gong practice. Besides, one must also take into consideration the much larger number of followers of this cult, who, in spite of not being healed through the promises advanced by Falun Gong, are still refusing medical treatment. This is the blood Dr Wang should have referred to. May her hands be not stained with it!
Although she tries to confront these facts, she herself quotes "medical treatment is just not necessary". These are her actual words.
So she rules out science and truth, which have actually freed humanity from ignorance, to replace them by the spurious religion of Falun Gong.
A lot more is hidden between the lines than that directly said in the writings of the Falun Gong cult.
The so-called "Master" Li of the Falun Gong is none other than an imposter who proclaims that he is the Saviour who has been sent to us to save the world.
I sincerely hope that Malta would never fall victim to this extreme cult and that we will never have the distress of witnessing people burning themselves to death as recently witnessed in China, to attain the fulfillment promised by the Falun Gong cult.
