A few days ago, when my eldest brother’s wife came to visit me, we inadvertently talked about the past of my eldest brother.It has been 9 years since my eldest brother passed away.Whenever I thought of his unexpected death due to his practicing Falun Gong and believing in Li Hongzhi’s fallacies, I felt very sad and sorry for him.
I am Yin Jifeng, 66 years old now, living in Wang Zhuangzi village, Liangtang Township, Guan County, Shandong Province. I’m a retired teacher from a primary school in our village. My eldest brother was an honest and dutiful farmer, who was strong in body, gentle in character, and warm-hearted, with a good reputation in the village. Unfortunately, such a kind-hearted person had been poisoned and bewitched by Falun Gong. As my eldest brother sincerely believed in the protection by Li Hongzhi's Law Bodies, he insisted on recklessly digging out a tree stump which had high-voltage electric lines underneath it in the farmland. As a result, he was electrocuted by the power lines.
My eldest brother was drawn into the evil cult of Falun Gong during the summer of 1997 when he went to a bazaar in Liangtang Township one day to buy some farming tools and daily necessities. On his way back home from the bazaar, he came across an acquaintance called Jiao Fayou from the neighboring village Cai Zhuang, and the two of them had a chat about their respective families.

What's abhorrent is that Jiao Fayou, a faithful follower of Falun Gong, took the opportunity to indoctrinate my eldest brother with a series of heretical ideas, such as practicing Falun Gong can help people improve health, cure diseases, open “heavenly eyes", reach consummation and ascend in broad daylight, and so on. My eldest brother, who was superstitious and poorly educated, was very curious about Falun Gong introduced to him by Jiao Fayou.
Back home, my elder brother was still immersed in the excitement and began to read with great interest the Falun Gong book given to him by Jiao Fayou. Since then, he was obsessed with Falun Gong and frequently went to Jiao Fayou’s house, neglecting his farm work and household chores. He refused to follow his wife’s advice for him to quit his belief in Falun Gong.
Over the next few years, my eldest brother became more and more obsessed with Falun Gong. A former thrifty man in everyday life, he was now very generous in practicing Falun Gong, spending a lot of money buying Li Hongzhi’s portrait, a video recorder, videotapes, a VCD player, CDs and so on, which were worth over 20,000 yuan. No longer attending to his farm work, he devoted all his time and energy to “cultivation”. Therefore, his wife quarreled with him frequently because of it. I visited him at his home several times, urging him to give up his practice, but he firmly refused. Later, our relatives and friends also tried to persuade him to quit his “cultivation”; and our old-aged mother repeatedly cried for him to withdraw from the evil cult, but to no effect. My eldest brother, who had been very obedient to our mother in the past, was now so addicted to Falun Gong that he wouldn't listen to any advice but the heresies and fallacies of the evil cult.
On the morning of April 26, 2011, my eldest brother happened to meet a fellow villager Zhao Yihe’s family, who were sawing a tree in the farmland. So my brother asked them, "Why didn't you dig out the tree stump since you’ve sawed the tree? It will be good firewood for cooking."
"I dare not dig it out. It's too dangerous because there are high voltage lines underneath it used for agricultural irrigation!" replied Zhao Yihe.
"If you guys don’t want it, I’ll take it. Let me dig it out,” said my eldest brother.With that, he grabbed a shovel, preparing to dig out the tree stump.
Seeing this, Zhao Yihe hurriedly stopped him and warned my brother not to dig, saying it was dangerous to do so. But my brother said seriously, "You can't dig, but I can. I'm sure I will be all right if I dig, for I will be protected by Master Li's Law Bodies."

"There are high voltage power lines underneath it. It's too dangerous!" Several people sawing trees there tried desperately to stop him. Being rejected by so many people, my eldest brother had to give up his digging plan for the moment. However, after Zhao Yihe and his family went home for lunch, my brother picked up the shovel and began to dig while there was no one in the farmland...
At about 3 p.m., when Zhao Yihe and his family returned to work in their farmland, they suddenly found my eldest brother lying on the ground, unresponsive to any calls. The soil on one side of the tree stump had been excavated, leaving the high-voltage power lines bare.
They rushed my brother to the hospital. However, as too long a time had passed, the doctors tried hard but failed to save his life, and in the end, confirmed his death as electrocution.
The unexpected death of my brother had dealt a heavy blow to the whole family. With the sudden loss of a backbone in their life, my brother’s wife and children cried their hearts out, while my senior-aged mother felt deeply grieved, regretting not having stopped him from practicing Falun Gong.
The death of my brother has fully proved that Li Hongzhi’s claim that his Law Bodies will protect his followers is an out-and-out lie. So, I’d like to urge those still having blind faith in his Law Body protection, not to do anything stupid, so as to avoid similar tragedies occurring again.
