Zhu Guilan, an old lady, was a practitioner of Falun Gong in Changchun City, Jilin Province. She once helped Li Hongzhi's family. When she fell ill, Li Hongzhi, who boasted he had boundless magic "power potency," instead of helping her recover, made the old lady blind, paralytic and bed-ridden.
Zhu Guilan became acquainted herself with Li Hongzhi when she started to practice Falun Gong in 1992. As Li Hongzhi often went out on preaching tours, Zhu Guilan, often cooked for his family. Later, Zhu Guilan contracted glaucoma. Li Hongzhi told her that she only needed to practice Falun Gong and should not take medicine or have injections. Her son-in-law said, "Li Hongzhi told me personally that she should not have injections or take medicine. After my mother-in-law went blind, Li and his wife came to my home to see her. They still said that she would recover in three months. But even now she still cannot see and is helpless."
Now, Zhu Guilan is still lying in bed blinded.
