Sun Wuju, of Jinjing City, Shandong Province, became withdrawn and neglected her family after taking up practice of Falun Gong over a year ago. She spent all day studying books on Falun Gong. To demonstrate the power of Falun Gong she took poison on February 5, 1999, saying that the force of Falun Gong would dispel the poison from her body. She refused any medical treatment, and finally died.
