On April 18, 2001, Liu Renfang's husband Liu Banglu, having been informed of the discovery of his wife's body, arrived at the Forensic Examination Department of Tongzhou District. Seeing the corpse and clothes of this dead wife, Liu Banglu couldn't help weeping. The scene was heart-rending.
"We used to have a happy family," said Liu Banglu. "Our son and daughter are married, I did some small business away from home, and she grew crops and raised domestic animal on the farm. We didn't have to worry about our food and clothing. But since she got fanatical about Falun Gong, she neglected the housework. She stayed away practicing all the time. She spent several thousand yuan on Li Hongzhi's tapes and books, only to end up in the dust and leave a broken family behind."
Hearing that his mother's corpse had been discarded by her Falun Gong fellow practitioners, Liu Renfang's son, Liu Ruitong, said, in grief and indignation: "My mother endured hardships to bring me up, but she died because of Falun Gong, before I could repay her. She couldn't have had a more tragic ending than having her corpse thrown into a stinking river by Falun Gong practitioners!"
Hearing the truth of the incident, Liu Renfang's relatives and friends sighed pitifully for her death caused by practicing Falun Gong, and, at the same time, bitterly condemned the crimes of Falun Gong against humanity, society and science. Liu Renfang's sister-in-law Huang Zhixiang said, "After she started to practice Falun Gong, Liu Renfang said she could not 'achieve fulfillment' without abndoning her family and all her relations. She coughed seriously before she died, but none of her 'fellow practitioners' cared."
