Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong organization's mouthpiece Minghui.org has always taken pains to preach the so-called retribution in its news reports. This paper would make a brief analysis on this to the public.
Retribution, as explained in the "Ciyuan" ("Word Origin"-- a Chinese dictionary), is the ancient heaven-human induction theory that the natural phenomena are attached to social life. It also presents the religious superstition that disaster and luck, rich and poor, all due to the behavior of one's previous life, also called for retribution. In modern society, the difference in people's world outlooks and cultural qualities results in different interpretations of retribution. Some understand retribution as the recompense of the community, good people do good things, the just will get much help, eventually there will be good results; The bad guys do bad things, whereas little help, and who doing much unjust things is doomed to destruction, and condemned to death without disease. Some people take it as nature's revenge,while some people regard it as divine retribution. However, the retribution propagated by Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong cult is not a problem of understanding on the awareness level. They are using some concepts of the traditional culture and people's religious psychology and superstitious thinking to deify themselves, confuse and deceive others, recruit and control members, so as to realize their political ambition. The retribution propagated by them is one of the fallacies of Falun Gong cult. In their theory, Li Hongzhi is the God; the God is Li Hongzhi; Li Hongzhi is "Falun Gong"; Falun Gong is Li Hongzhi; God is in Falun Gong's hands; Falun Gong is in the hands of Li Hongzhi. Li Hongzhi, God, Falun Gong is a trinity. Supporters of "Falun Gong" will get good rewards, opponents will get punished. That is their logic. Minghui .org repeatedly published examples of 'Dafa disciples' blessed by God; opponents get punished in order to give specified explanation to this theory.
Look at some examples dished out by Minghui.org, an 80-year-old Granny did Dafa meditation and got blessings and longevity; a Dafa disciple told others the truth of persecution, and revived by practicing Falun Gong; a lady practiced Falun Gong and the vicious disease she got went missing. Worse still, a patient gone vegetative for four months killed the ghosts taking her to hell and got reborn from the gate of hell by shouting out ‘My mother is practicing Falun Dafa, Falun Dafa Is Good. ', etc.
In stark contrast, the Minghui.org also reported batches of examples of severe punishment by God for not favoring or even opposing Falun Gong. For example, a hospital anesthetist opposed his sister to practice Falun Gong and the whole family was caught in a car accident, with three dead and three injured. The director of an enterprise against the Falun Dafa caught a strange disease that destroyed his appearance. Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission suffered a sudden death; some suffered from paraplegia or died from heart disease outbreaks; even their children failed the university entrance exam. These were all seen as God's retribution and punishment. There were too numerous to list.
In their view, the rumor repeated 1,000 times will be the truth. It is not up to you not to believe it. This is the strategy and tactics of Falun Gong.
