To be a qualified civil aircraft pilot, the priority is to receive training in a special flight university. Located in Guanghan City, China’s Sichuan province, Civil Aviation Flight University of China is the largest pilot training university in the world, and the cradle of China’s civil aircraft pilots.
In order to be accepted to the university, students must pass strict physical and college entrance examinations. The university requires the students to take a total of more than 50 theoretical courses, fly no less than 255 hours, and obtain at least five certificates, including a private pilot license and a commercial pilot license. Students do not graduate until they are qualified in three aspects: theoretical knowledge, physical fitness, and flight skills.
