An agricultural and forestry development company in northwest China's city Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, has developed a new fruit-temperature-control technology that could help peach trees well postpone their maturity period by four months so that their delicious peaches can meet the demand of winter markets.
By using such technology, the Jiancheng Agricultural and Forestry Development Company has successfully delayed the maturity period of the peaches from August to December. Therefore, even in the cold winter, people can enjoy fresh peaches that are usually picked during the summer times.
This planting technique is expected to be introduced to other local fruit farms.
