A wistaria with a history of a thousand years in Suzhou, eastern China's Jiangsu Province, has applied for "China' s No. 1 Wistaria" to Guinness World Records.
China News Service reported on Tuesday that the wistaria, with a 290-centimeter trunk perimeter and 5-metre height, can shadow about 235 square meters with its nine branches.
The wistaria has already been crowned "Wistaria King" of Suzhou.
