A photo exhibition about New China's 14 military parades has been held in Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) for the first time, the China News Service reports.
The three-day exhibition which began on Monday at the Golden Lotus Square, downtown Macao, shows visitors some 165 carefully-selected photos that both recall all the 14 military parades marking the anniversaries of China between 1949 and 2009 and strengthen local residents' collective memory about the past 60 years.
Current Chief Executive of Macao SAR Ho Hau Wah, vice director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao Gao Yan and the commander of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) garrison in Macao Wang Yuren attended the show's opening ceremony.
After the show, the photos will also be exhibited in Macao's colleges, high and primary schools for another 10 days.
All the photos will be presented to the PLA garrison in Macao as a special gift.
