Li Na of China came from behind to beat Agnes Szavay of Hungary in three sets, in the women's singles second round at the Australian Open tennis tournament.
Li dug deep after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in a marathon match lasting two hours and 17 minutes in Melbourne.
Szavay, who lost to Li in their previous meeting in Paris last year, took a commanding lead 6-3, 3-1, but Li fought back after saving two match points to win the second set.
The 16th seed Chinese continued her winning streak by taking the third set 6-2.
"I was also 3-1 down in the second set, so I thought I couldn't do that. If I did, maybe I would have had to book a flight ticket for tomorrow", said the Chinese in a press conference.
In the coming tough third round, Li will take on Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia who saw off Swede Sofia Arvidsson 6-4, 6-1 in the 2nd round.
