The sea of clouds is a natural wonder at Yellow Mountain, where bizarre peaks and ancient pines are submerged in rolling clouds, thus earning Yellow Mountain a reputation as the "Home of Cloud and Mist." Yellow Mountain is listed as UNESCO's World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1990. The best season to admire the cloud sea is winter, between November and April. The sight is especially impressive after rain or snowfall, when a fine, marvelous cloud sea in various colors can be seen at sunrise and sunset.
