How Li Hongzhi instigates followers to violate human laws

2011-09-26 Source:Kaiwind Author:By Zheng Ze

Li Hongzhi’s basic attitude towards the laws can be summarized in the following three aspects: Vilifying them, utilizing (taking advantage of) them, and trampling on them. The author has exhausted the former two aspects in the article How Li Hongzhi Vilifies and Utilizes Human Laws. As an addition to that article, this paper is intended to illustrate how Li Hongzhi instigates followers to violate or trample on human laws, further exposing his vicious intentions to the public.

Based on cultic heresies, Li Hongzhi offered his followers theoretical foundation for their violation of human laws.

To justify followers’ violation of the law, Li Hongzhi invented a lot of “theories” to bolster and pep up his “Dafa disciples”. He wrote in the book Zhuan Falun: “Human laws are employed to govern the Ordinary People only,” “As a cultivator, you have actually become a superman, so you can’t confuse yourself with an everyday person. In another word, you are keeping yourself within the bounds of the superior world, not to be judged by human laws or principles.” Li Hongzhi further explained, “The concept of time in other dimensions is totally different from that of our material world, so what’s the use of it (the human law) in other dimensions? It is useless.” As the result, Falun Gong followers firmly believed they had legitimate rights to defy all human laws: what they were practicing was “the truth of the universe”, and they were all “supermen” who should not be restrained or judged by human laws and regulations, because “The law of your government is not the truth of the universe (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Europe).” Poisoned by these cultic fallacies and incited by the “Master,” many obsessed Falun Gong practitioners recklessly engaged in all kinds of illegal activities: they took to the streets, created social unrests, and purposely destroyed public facilities. Some of them turned into criminals.

Driven by unmentionable motives, Li Hongzhi put followers up to illegal activities through heretical propaganda.

And these illegal activities fall into the following five categories.

(1) Inveigling followers into besieging media and government organizations.

Li Hongzhi told followers, “There is one thing that all Dafa disciples must do—and that’s Truth-clarifying” (Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. International Fa Conference). As for the “4.25 Incident”—in which thousands upon thousands of Falun Gong practitioners surrounded Zhongnanhai in the name of “telling the truth”, Li claimed: “Our Dafa disciples in Beijing adopted a special approach to ask those people to stop harming Dafa—this actually was not wrong.” At the same time, Li Hongzhi sharply reprimanded those “backward elements” who failed to participate in the besiegement, “You entirely rely on my bringing you to higher levels, never try to take initiative –you move only when told openly and explicitly by Dafa; otherwise you stay where you are or even go opposite.” “At the crucial moment when I asked you to break away from humanness, you did not follow me. Each opportunity will not occur again” (Digging out the Roots); and “I cannot say what you have done (staying at home) was cultivation.” He added, “Any one who has failed to step out (promoting Fa), or tries to defend those (backward elements) is utterly wrong” (Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. International Fa Conference). To instigate more followers to go out and stir up troubles, Li Hongzhi commented, “there are only a small number of people there” (participated in the “4.25 Incident”), and that was “not sufficient” (Some Thoughts of Mine). Long time after the event, Li Hongzhi still firmly believed that “each time our Dafa disciples lodge appeals with higher authorities, they always achieve magnificent effects,” and “bring about active influence on the society” (Teaching the Fa in Sino-US Fa Conference, June, 2003). The consequence of Li’s words was that many Falun Gong adherents, in the name of “telling truth” and “protecting Fa,” considered it a common way to beset the media and government organs who “speak ill of Falun Gong.” Before 1999, a lot of media organizations had been under Falun Gong practitioners’ attack for publishing “negative” articles against Li Hongzhi. Below was the list of them.

Senior Citizen’s Daily (Yunnan Province)
Donglu Times (Yunnan Province)
Qilu Evening News (Shandong Province)
Qiantang Weekends (Zhejiang Province)
Hebei Politics and Law News (Hebei Province)
Cangzhou Daily (Hebei Province)
Chongqing Daily (Sichuan Province)
Hefei Evening News (Anhui Province)
Science Review for Juvenile (Tianjin)
Xiamen Daily (Fujian Province)
Liaoning Daily
China Youth Daily (Beijing)
Beijing TV Station
Guangming Daily
Health News Digest

Little by little, Falun Gong practitioners’ frequent besiegements on media organizations turned into political conflicts. On April 25, 1999, over ten thousand Falun Gong followers suddenly surrounded Zhongnanhai. The Incident, which shocked the world and tarnished the image of the Chinese government, reflected the sinister intentions of Li Hongzhi.

(2) Harassing common people in the name of “telling truth,” “saving sentient beings” or “advocating Three Quits.”

Running away from mainland China by way of “a golden cicada sloughing off its skin,” Li Hongzhi settled down in the USA and incited followers to engage in political propaganda activities against China under the cover of “telling truth,” “saving sentient beings” or “promoting the Three Quits.” To emphasize the “importance” of the propaganda, Li told his followers: “Do not underestimate the influence of the messages you’ve sent back to China – whether it is a leaflet, a pamphlet, a telephone call, or a fax. They all have striking effect on the Evil, and the effect of eliminating and deterrence is really striking” (Touring North America to Teach the Fa, March 2002). Furthermore, Li Hongzhi spared no effort in advertising “the disintegration function” of Nine Commentaries, claiming: “As long as the persecution continues, Dafa disciples will keep distributing the Nine Commentaries, until finally the evil CCP disintegrates and the persecution stops. Doesn’t that give you just cause and full confidence [to do this]? (Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, November 2005)

And these “analects” or quotations from Master Li Hongzhi quickly drove Falun Gong followers into frenzy and brought about serious consequences. A lot of oversea Dafa disciples frequently made annoying phone calls, sent junk emails, and faxed Falun Gong propaganda materials to the common people in mainland China; while Falun Gong addicts in mainland China were at pains to send people text messages, put up posters (people call it “city psoriasis”), and accused the Chinese government of “persecuting Dafa disciples” whenever got a chance. Their illegal activities, which destroyed public orders, not only disrupted people’s normal life, but also seriously endangered the whole society.

(3) Deliberately damaging China’s legal currency.

Renminbi is China’s legal currency with a huge circulation.  A few Falun Gong diehards invented the trick of “telling truth on money”, and they wrote “Falun Dafa is good,” “Quitting the Party” and many other anti-government slogans on the paper currency, deliberately damaging China’s legal currency and viciously slandering the Chinese Communist Party. Their action, a brazen violation of Article 18 of the Law of PRC on People’s Bank of China, and a violation of Article 27 of the Regulations of PRC on the Administration of Reminbi, was greatly appreciated by their Master.

In February, 2006, Li Hongzhi told his audience, “Some people have suggested writing ‘Falun Dafa is great’ or ‘Quitting the Party’ on Renminbi (laughing). I think that's a terrific idea (applause). You can't throw away money, and you can't destroy it” (Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles). Obviously, Li Hongzhi encouraged such dirty crimes.

(4) Inserting Falun Gong contents in TV programs & attacking civil satellites.

Facts revealed that, from June 23 to 30, 2002, the Chinese Communications Satellite Sino was deliberately attacked by illegal signals. The illegal TV signals that carried Falun Gong propaganda were transmitted by oversea Falun Gong organizations. These signals disrupted the normal rebroadcast function of Sino-sat and disabled the Channel 9 of CCTV and 10 provincial TV stations. As a result, the “Every Village TV Program” users in some parts of China could not receive normal TV signals.

A statistics showed, in a period from June 23, 2002 to August 7, 2007, the civil satellites such asSINOSAT-1, ASIAPACIFIC-6 and ASIA-3swere attacked by Falun Gong for 252 times with a total length up to 160 hours. According to Laws of China, UN Charter, Conventions and Radio Regulations of International Telecommunications Union, deliberately damaging and interfering normal satellite TV broadcast was illegal. However, Li Hongzhi strongly supported these illegal actions. He told followers, “each action of inserting Falun Gong contents to TV program, each appealing with higher authorities, they all have striking effects” and “can deeply influence the society”(Teaching the Fa at the Midwest-U.S. Fa Conference, June 2003).

(5) Pestering Chinese embassies and consulates abroad

Li Hongzhi gave full support to such harassments. He told followers approvingly, “Many students have been quietly doing large amounts of truth-clarifying work—passing out flyers, making phone calls, using the Internet, going to the consulates, and using all different forms of media to tell the world’s people the truth about Dafa”(Touring North America to Teach the Fa, March 2003). Encouraged by Li’s acclaim, oversea Falun Gong organizations took Chinese Embassies and Consulates as their main targets, actively engaging in anti-Chinese government activities. Some Falun Gong practitioners suddenly surrounded a Chinese Embassy, holding placards, shouting slogans, and staging sit-in demonstrations; while others frequently gathered around a Consulate, distributing leaflets to passers-by, simultaneously “sending forth righteous thoughts” at a designated place, etc, and resorting to all sorts of tricks.

Over the past decade, a lot of obsessed Falun Gong practitioners were led astray. Poisoned by their Master’s call of “going out and telling the truth,” “safeguarding Dafa and saving sentient beings”, and under direct commanding of Falun Gong organizations, they shamelessly harassed the common people and government organizations, publicly broke the law and violated the discipline, bringing about disorders, social unrests, injuries as well as innocent people’s deaths.

And consequently, a lot of Falun Dafa disciples were severely punished by the law because they had injured or even killed people at the instigation of Li Hongzhi.

Cases of some Falun Gong practitioners being punished by the law are divided into the following two categories which represent the most serious circumstances of law-breaking.

Category A: Causing injuries or deaths of Falun Gong followers. Some practitioners kept rushing about for Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong organizations and, as the result, died of overworking. Instigated and intimidated by Li Hongzhi, a large number of practitioners went canvassing for Falun Gong: they distributed leaflets or pamphlets day and night, traveled hither and thither making speeches, or endlessly sent junk e-mails and made harassing phone calls. Being on the rush all the time, they became physically and mentally exhausted, and some even lost their lives. Li Yanhua and Zheng Suqin, two Falun Gong adherents who died of overworking or rejecting medical help, were good examples. Li Yanhua, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dongjiang Village, Nanlou Economic and Development Area, Dashiqiao City of Liaoning Province, fainted abruptly en route of distributing Falun Gong leaflets, and died after emergency treatment. Zheng Suqin, a retiree from Weihe Power Plant Co. Ltd of Shaanxi Province, suffered from hypertension. She refused to see a doctor and take medicine, and her illness developed into an acute cerebral haemorrhage which eventually turned her into a vegetable.

Category B: Killing innocent people. In March 2002, while “Touring North America to Teach the Fa,” Li Hongzhi asked followers “to completely disintegrate and eliminate the wicked life,” “bad people” and “old forces,” openly advocating violence. Poisoned by Li’s heresies such as “eradicating the evil” and “eliminating the demon” etc, a lot of originally kind-hearted practitioners turned into merciless killers: they cruelly slaughtered innocent people, and sometimes even killed their own family members. On March 28, 2002, Zhao He, an obsessed Falun Gong adherent from Chenglicun Village of Daming Town, Ningcheng County, Chifeng City of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, cruelly killed Dai Guosheng, a police man who offered to help him at the gate of Zhao’s house. There were also some Falun Gong diehards who killed innocent people in the name of “saving sentient beings.” On March 1, 2002, Lin Chunmei and Wen Yuping, two obsessed Falun Gong practitioners from Xinjiang Autonomous Region, killed Mai Xinping, a waitress who was working at Hongbin Hotel, Xianyang City of Shaanxi Province. The two claimed their purposes of killing were on the one hand, to “build up enough courage” for “eliminating the old forces” in the future; on the other hand, to “save Mai by bringing her to heavens”. A few obsessed Falun Gong followers even killed their own beloved ones. And Fu Yibin, a Dafa disciple from Xicheng District of Beijing who cruelly killed his father and wife, and seriously injured his mother with a kitchen knife, was an example. The most notorious Falun Gong killer was called Chen Fuzhao from Zhejiang Province who cruelly killed 15 beggars and 1 Buddhist by poisoning to “enhance Gong powers.” As is well known to all, Falun Gong organizations have committed many other crimes, of these I will say no more.

In reality, it was a sharp satire on Dafa disciples that their Master Li Hongzhi lived a wildly extravagant life while they suffered so many miseries.

Poisoned by Li Hongzhi’s heresies, many Falun Gong practitioners took dangerous risks and defied the law in the name of “safeguarding the Fa”. They worked themselves to the bone for their Master, and made great “contributions” to Li Honzhi’s cause of “promoting the Fa” and “verifying the Fa”. However, what they got from Li Hongzhi in return were sadness and heart-breaking.

(1). Practitioners who lost their lives. According to Li Hongzhi’s own words, he would in the “historic future” bestow “spectacular glories” upon Dafa disciples who committed suicide or died of illness during the process of “reaching Consummation,” “ascending to Paradise” or “removing Karma” (Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Chicago, May 2004). Li also promised: “(The dead practitioners) would reach Consummation in their different worlds” (Teaching the Fa at International Fa Conference in New York, June 2009). But there was just one minor problem here. On July 22, 2002, while “Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference”, Li Hongzhi solemnly pointed out: The cultivation of Dafa disciples was “not a personal matter,” “Your being responsible to Dafa and saving sentient beings is part of your Consummation.” In another word, unless “the evil is completely eliminated,” and “the sentient beings are saved,” all your cultivation “equals zero” and “there’s absolutely no way a person can reach Consummation.” So actually, the “Consummation” and “glories” Li Hongzhi promised were absolutely out of reach, and the practitioners’ efforts proved as futile as “drawing water with a bamboo basket.”

(2). Practitioners who were put into prison for law-breaking. Fooled as well as incited by their Master, many Dafa disciples violated laws and were put into prison as the result. However, Li Hongzhi explained that, the reason some Dafa disciples suffered from imprisonment was because “they have in history accumulated an enormous debt unpaid which, in turn, exacts retributions in the present world,” and “imprisonment serves them right” (Teaching the Fa in New York City, May 2008). In ordinary people’s words, they got “what they deserved.” And their sufferings had nothing to do with their Master. As an old Chinese saying goes, “kill a donkey the moment it leaves the millstone,” this again reflects the sinister and ruthless nature of Li Hongzhi.

(3). Practitioners who suffered self-mutilation or being tortured by illness. Master Li called these people “cultivators on a journey to divinity”, claiming they were “passing tests” and “repaying Karmic debt.” According to Li Hongzhi’s theory, these tests included “emotion & desire” test, “human attachments” test, and “life & death” test, etc., which all proved fatal to faithful Falun Gong practitioners. And the “Karmic debt” Li Hongzhi had fabricated like an endless nightmare haunted Dafa disciples. In addition to these painful ordeals, the Dafa disciples were psychologically tormented by the idea of “Doomsday Trial,” which, according to Li Hongzhi, every one had to experience, regardless of dead or alive. They worried day and night for fear that they might fail the “Last Test (the Day of Retribution)” at the end. Therefore, it was really a pity that one chose to be a Dafa disciple.

In conclusion, Li Hongzhi viciously spread Falun Gong fallacies to deceive the people, and instigates followers to stir up troubles and sabotage the peace which not only violates the national decrees, but also tramples on the international laws. Judging from his present performance, Li Hongzhi’s ulterior purposes in doing so are as follows: (1) To demonstrate the “formidable power” of Falun Gong by mobilizing its followers and, accordingly, to fish for political capital to live abroad; (2) To win over foreign masters and grab money out of the “Democratic Funds”; (3) To prevent himself from being extradited to China. In other wards, it is Li’s habitually practice that, by distorting, vilifying or trampling on human laws, Li raises his own reputation and peddles his fallacies; he instigates followers to violate the law and brings himself to attention of the world; he seeks foreign protection and lives on in degradation outside mainland China. And all these have been proved by facts: Although the Dafa disciples have continuously suffered injuries or deaths and live in misery, their Master is enjoying untold wealth, high honor, as well as a happy family life. First of all, Li Hongzhi is a green-card holder in the USA, and his legitimate rights and interests are protected by the law; secondly, Master Li Hongzhi is now a man who never “lacks money.” The money his followers earned with blood, dignity as well as their lives, is flowing into Li’s pocket under the name of “sacrifice”; the money for selling admission tickets of Li’s Fa-teaching lectures is also systematically collected; and plus the money Li solicited from the “Democratic Funds,” Wow, it turns out that Master Li Hongzhi is a rich man! And thirdly, Master Li knows exactly how to enjoy himself with the fortune: enlisting the youngsters to stage “Chinese Spectaculars,” launching a series of “International Competitions,” and engaging in all kinds of “recreation activities,” and so on so forth. Living in luxurious villas, coming in and going out in chauffeured limousines, Li Hongzhi is now accompanied by a sweet wife and a filial daughter, and no one would deny that Master Li is really living in the “Paradise”. But what about those Falun Gong followers who have been fooled to discard family life or even end their own lives? In pursuit of the “Falun World,” “Consummation” and “ascending to Paradise”, these Dafa disciples have been led to the Nether World by their Master. If they learned of what their Master was enjoying at this moment, then what would they say?
