My name is Liu Jinli, 49 years old. I lived in Dadukou district, Chongqing of southwestern China. My husband and I was native to Houma city, Shanxi Province.
In 1992, I came to Chongqing together with my husband as he got business transferred. Since then, the life of our family had been in good order.
Busy as my husband was, he had a quite decent income, which made me have no urge to find a new job after arriving in Chongqing. I did the household every day. In March 1996, I began to practice Falun Gong introduced by my aunt Wu. She told me that practicing Falun Gong could not only eliminate disease and help body-building but my whole family would get benefit from my practice. She also said the person who practiced it would rise to the Heaven when he achieved consummation. In addition, she gave us a lot of examples in which people benefited from Falun Gong. I became a Falun Gong member and quickly got obsessed in it. Because I had enough spare time and my family was rich, I received respects and flatters from other Falun Gong members. They often came to my home together to exchange experience with me.
I was greatly encouraged by it, so I devoted more energy to practicing Falun Gong, regardless of my husband's feelings and my duty as a wife. According to the Master's words, I had completely put the fame, gain and feeling down and got rid of the mind of obsession.
In July 1999, China officially banned the Falun Gong. I was shocked by news since I had practiced Falun Gong for more than 3 years. I had never thought that Falun Gong which publicized "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" and asked people to "be a good person" should be a cult. During that period, my husband advised me many times not to practice Falun Gong. He said that if I was really idle he would ask someone to find a job for me, and then I could do some business. I got heated on hearing that. In my heart, practicing Falun Gong was also a good business. There were still many great things waiting me to do! Having been occupied by the work, my husband didn't inquire me about my practice after several advisements went in vain.
Since then, I kept practicing Falun Gong and improving myself as usual according to the Master's request in different stages. I fought for the aim of "achieving consummation and rise to the heaven" and "becoming an immortal or a Buddha".
During that period, I heard that many practitioners hadn't practiced any more, but my faith in Falun Gong was still unshakable. I always believed that I wouldn't see hope as long as I insisted. With this hope, I, together with a few remaining practitioners, still insisted in practicing in the hope of becoming "excellent practitioners". Our practice lasted for 8 years.
On the afternoon of Nov. 25th 2007, Falun Gong member named Zhang Ru and others came to my home. They asked me to exert Gong with them on a Falun Gong member called Li Yuqin, who suffered from serious tuberculosis.
It was said that Li Yuqin hadn't gone to the hospital and hadn't took any medicine or had any injection after she was ill. In order to eliminate karma, she threatened her husband with death. After hearing that, we went to her home without further ado. We were stopped by her husband as soon as we arrived. He tried to persuade us to leave by threatening with Li Yuqin's strongly contagious disease. On seeing Li Yuqin's pain and weakness, I thought of the Master's words--"Disciples of Dafa not only practice for their owns but also for their responsibility of 'saving other living creatures'". At last, we decided to save her without hesitation.
I remembered that Li Yuqin's husband insisted on stopping us and asked her to go to the hospital all the time. Li Yuqin still firmly believed in Dafa and trusted the Master and us. She rebuffed her husband in a low voice and let us gather together around her bed. By this way, we exerted Gong together on her, sitting around her bed. We did it that way again and over again for more than two hours. It got dark outside, but we couldn't see any improvement on her.
Just as we got ready to do it again, Li Yuqin had a rapid cough suddenly and spit out fresh blood. The scene still dwells in my memory till now. We were all shocked and didn't know what to do next. I even didn't remember when her husband dialed 120. I only remembered that it didn't take long before the ambulance arrived.
When we saw Li Yuqin was carried away with a stretcher. We felt a strong panic fear and guilt, thus we left respectively in dejection. Later, I heard that for delaying the time of treatment, Li Yuqin passed away shortly after she was sent to the hospital.
The bad news made us, who joined the activity of exerting Gong, very remorseful. We were not only blamed in heart but got an indelible scar. At last, none of us attended her funeral for fear and shame.
Since then, we began to doubt about Falun Gong and the supernatural ability of the Master. We wondered whether it was because that the Master's words and Law Body didn't work at the time or we've just been deceived at the very start.
At last, with the help of the social volunteers, I removed myself from Falun Gong and lead a happy life as common people.
