Cong Longxue
It was about 4 am on May 9, 2012 when a dreadful murder occurred in HangGeZhuang Village east to JiangGeZhuang Township in Mouping District, Yantai City. The suspect Cong Longxue, who was possessed by the devil in his cultivation practice of Falun Gong, killed his elder sister Cong Cuilian with a chopper in their home.
The Victim Cong Cuilian
Investigation revealed that the suspect Cong Longxue, male, was born in February 1955. He is of Han ethnicity and has an education background of primary school. He is a farmer and lives in ShaWanZhuang Village, JiangGeZhuang Township. He is unmarried. By Cong Longxue’s own account, he began to practice Falun Gong in 2010 under the influence of his elder sister Cong Cuilian, and gradually got obsessed with it. According to his family members, Cong Longxue often had illusions recently. Sometimes he said that his ‘eye of wisdom’ was functional; sometimes he said that he saw insects all over his home and that there was a snake on his body. On May 7, Cong Longxue felt that there was a snake winding around his neck, so he took a pair of scissors to cut his neck with an aim to expel the snake. Since he hurt his neck with the scissors, his elder sister Cong Cuilian took him to her home to recuperate. It was about four o’clock on the morning of May 9 when Cong Longxue waked from sleep with his mind full of the scenarios of the pure land advocated by Falun Gong. He wanted to go to the land together with his elder sister. So he grabbed hair of Cong Cuilian, who was still in sleep, and knocked her head to the edge of Kang (a brick bed). Then he took a chopper with his other hand to cut the neck of his elder sister, which led to the death of Cong Cuilian on the spot.
Currently, Cong Longxue was detained by Mouping Branch of Public Security Bureau for being suspected of murder. The case is pending for further proceedings.
