Inside story: Brother-in-law of Li Hongzhi dies of illness

Kaiwind.com Oct. 30, 2012 - According to a person in the know, Li Jiguang, the vice president of Falun Gong’s news group The Epoch Times, died of illness. Li Jiguang is the brother-in-law of Falun Gong’s leader Li hongzhi as he is the husband of Li Hongzhi’s elder sister Li Jun (Li Hongzhi has two sisters: the elder sister Li Jun, and the younger sister Li Ping). Li Jiguang is not Li Jun’s first husband. Li Jun's first husband is a Thai Chinese, who had helped Li Hongzhi’s family a lot when they fell on evil days and moved to Thailand. However, as soon as Li Hongzhi made a fortune out of Falun Gong, he asked Li Jun to divorce her husband and move to the United States. Not long after that, Li Jun married Li Jiguang, a right-hand man of Li Hongzhi.

It is reported that in June this year, a staffer from The Epoch Times wanted to ask Li Jiguang for instructions on some projects, but could not find him. Then hearsay started to spread that Li Jiguang "might be gone". Li Jun, Li Hongzhi’s sister, also carefully concealed any news about her husband.
 
A person in the know said that this hearsay was confirmed in Yang Sen and Guo Jun’s private e-mails with others.

According to Li Hongzhi’s theory, Falun Gong members are not allowed to take medicines or go to hospital when they get ill. However, when Li Jiguang got seriously ill in 2009, Li Hongzhi secretly approved his hospitalization. Nevertheless, Li Jiguang still died of renal failure in the end.

Although this news was asked to be kept absolutely confidential by the headquarters of Falun Gong, the followers and The Epoch Times’ employees had been constantly murmuring about it since July. They are very puzzled: "Even though Li Jiguang was so advanced, he was killed by fetal disease under the nose of Master Li Hongzhi! It’s known to all that he had done a lot for Dafa, not to mention that he is also the Master’s brother-in-law. How comes it that he died? "
