The imitations of tortures are shown in public in Dnepropetrovsk. This is the way Falun Gong's followers are trying to draw attention to their associates' destiny in China, who are told to be persecuted by the local government. People, who are just passing by and are unable to estimate things in a right adequate way, often become the witnesses of rather an unpleasant and cruel action. Do these claims have enough grounds and is it legal to carry out such actions?
"The Truth. The Kindness. The Patience"
These are the basic principles of the teaching, which, according to Falun Gong members' opinion, help person to reach the spiritual and physical perfection. It is known, that Falun Gong movement appeared in China in 1992. Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of this teaching, explains the history of human civilization, the secrets of human's supernatural abilities, reveals the idea of morality and tells about the human destiny. He also reveals the secrets of non-conventional healing and right way of nutrition.
In 1999 the government of Chinese People's Republic prohibited Falun Gong's activity. According the words of people, practicing this teaching, Falun Gong disciples in China are subjected to mass repressions. They tell, that is because of Communist regime, which considers any group of people to be a threaten for the party.
According to the official statistics, there are 5% communists in "The Country of the Rising Sun", and the total percentage of religious people is more than 10%. Besides, the relative indifference toward religion developed due not to the communist ideology, but to Confucianism, which appeared there in the 2 century A.D. Yet, the Falun Gong members stand their ground obstinately.
Their activity is high in Dnepropetrovsk; the public actions on its streets became regular and systematical. It is possible to say that the followers of this teaching have crossed the line of permissible. Psychologists tell that their demonstrations may be considerably harmful for the unintentional audience's psychological health.
According to article 39 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the citizens may meet peacefully, without weapons and organize some meetings, demonstrations and marches. Yet, this very article tells about the restrictions of this right in case of national security and public order protection. As we see, there are grounds to prohibit such a kind of actions. Yet, we have to find out if the rights of the citizens are really violated.
Is this a Myth or Reality?
- Falun Gong is a Chinese syncretic sect, which uses the elements of Buddhism, Oriental philosophy and Chinese respiratory gymnastics, - noted Valeriy Chebanenko, the head of Ukrainian public organization "Cults and Society" during the press-conference in the regional organization of the National Union of Journalists. Telling this, he uses the opinion of Russian scientific sinology. Due to his words, the statements about extracting and selling organs of those, who practice Falun Gong in China, are groundless. The disciples of this teaching don't give any official document proving these facts. One can know from Falun Gong's information sources about so called concentration camp in Soutszyatoon and about the crematory, where the bodies of the disciples are burned.
The members of public organizations made a special visit to China in order to confirm or to disprove these statements. The modern clinic for vascular disorders care is standing right on the place of the "fake" concentration camp.
Despite these facts, Falun Gong disciples go on carrying out their actions in Dnepropetrovsk. "After some public actions, imitating human organ extraction, the citizens started writing complaints to the city council and to the public organizations", - Valeriy Chebanenko mentions. According to his opinion, these demonstrations break the public order and have a negative impact on the citizens' health. In his part, the first secretary of Dnepropetrovsk regional committee of Communist Party of Ukraine Victor Borshchevsky claims that the demonstrations like this are organized to create an artificial conflict between two states. He considers that some of the sect's activities may have a political base in its core.
"You'll know them from their deeds"
Witnessing for his teaching, the head of public organization "Falun Gong System", Sergei Bukin tells: "The actions are meant to inform the society about the repressions that are still going on in China. And the harshmethods we use to find the way to the people's hearts that are quite embittered nowadays". The disciples themselves claim that they are "learning to be good people, do their work diligently and treat everyone around positively". Yet, nowadays real facts are contrary to these ideas. The followers of this teaching don't even think that their actions may be harmful for other people, after all. Maybe, the reason is that they don't take their main "The Truth. The Kindness. The Patience" code of conduct serious or give it a double meaning.
