It’s time to go back to the light.
When we last left the Lane family and their “Meyerist” cult on Hulu’sThe Path, things were in disarray. Eddie (Aaron Paul) had left his family and the movement, his wife Sarah (Michelle Monaghan) had aligned herself with Cal (Hugh Dancy), and his maniacal drive to expand Meyerism worldwide continues. And judging from the new trailer for season 2 released Thursday, things are only going to get crazier before they get better.
With Eddie out of the picture, Cal appears to be making moves on both Sarah and their son Hawk (Kyle Allen). Eddie doesn’t take kindly to that, viciously delivering this promise to his old friend: “I will murder you before I let you take him from me.”
But before he follows up on that, Eddie has to take care of his own problems, like those crazy visions and (apparently) a trip to the Emergency Room. “Night is only beginning,” someone says, and it certainly seems that way, given the epic visuals of the rest of the trailer.
