Mr. Li Qingwei, president of Life Sciences College of Liaoning Normal University, explained the biological evolution, the origins of life, and other phenomena from the perspective of the life sciences, and exposed the anti-science fallacies of Li Hongzhi.
Li Qingwei quoted Li Hongzhi`s words in his illegal publication "Zhuan Falun", "According to Darwin's theory of evolution, human evolution was from aquatic plants to aquatic animals, and then landed and climbed into the trees, then went to the ground to become Ape-man."
Li Qingwei said in fact that, Darwinian Theory of Evolution has never mentioned the evolutionary pathway from the aquatic plants to aquatic animals as part of human evolution. The evolutionary pathways of plants and animals are completely different. Plants and animals share the common ancestor of the original green flagellum, but their evolutionary pathways have parted as early as the single-cell life stage because of different living environment. Li Hongzhi was ignorant and incompetent, and thought that plants were junior than animals, thus fabricated the absurd theory of plants evolving into animals, in a bid to fulfill his so-called scriptures. This is the blasphemy for scientific.
Li Hongzhi also talked about "opening up of the heavenly eyes." According to him, "the heavenly eye" located a little bit up between the two eyebrow would be opened when practicing "Falun Gong" to a certain level. Then the practitioner could see all the different levels of the universe, material or scene.
He also said, "We really see things, to see a person, to see the form of existence of an object, they are the images of the brain. That is, seeing through the eyes, and through optic nerve conduction to the pineal gland at the latter part of the brain, where the images are reflected. This means that the real organ for seeing things is the part of brain called pineal gland. Modern medical theory has also aware of this. " Li Qingwei said, this is Li Hongzhi's ridiculous theory. From physiology point of view, destination of visual nerve conduction is cortex, not the pineal gland. The pineal gland is a kind of endocrine gland. It plays the role of anti-androgen, lower blood sugar and inhibit precocious puberty. We still have not found the pineal gland related with visual sense in any way. Li Hongzhi claimed that it is his "discovery" of which the "heavenly eye" was located in pineal gland, and he also said it is proved by modern medical science. It is really ridiculous.
Li Qingwei said, as long as we know the development of the Earth and the origins of life, and other aspects of scientific knowledge, the hoax concocted by Li Hongzhi will surely collapse.
