Words above come from a psychological consulting company named Endorn in Foshan. It claims that the scope of the company’s business covers but not limited to physical illness, infertility, family conflicts……or even issues that prevent you from getting promoted or rich. People who encountered those problems could all go to the company for “psychological counseling”.
Although the company claimed to offer “psychological counseling”, it actually carried out “harmful training”. By borrowing foreign heresies, the company tricked their customers with mind control and made them deeply addicted to those heresies. Some of their customers even died as the result. With a large number of obsessed customers, the Endorn Company set up 57 branches in 24 Provinces and Cities, illegally accumulating a total of more than 63 million Yuan.

A company claimed its “technology” could cure infertility
In the Endorn Company, religious and psychological materials and booklets could be seen everywhere, as well as rows of psychological counseling chambers, which all indicates that the company is quite unusual.
According to the company’s promotional materials, its core business is to “awaken the love and wisdom within the heart, and help people break through barriers of gender, parent-children, illness, wealth and so on with a unique communication technology, so that people could enjoy a happy, comfortable, prosperous and affluent life.”
In fact, the company adopts a set of oversea heresies called “consciousness-based deep communication”, which spread into China in recent years. This set of heresies is hyped up as an academic discipline that “combines the theoretical basis of idealism, quantum physics, and western psychology”, which claims to be able to cure illness and solve life problems by means of “communication”.
How to cure diseases through communication? According to one of the company’s brochures entitled Finding Disease Factors, all physical diseases have their “roots” in mind.
Eye diseases are caused by people whom you don’t want to see. Respiratory system related diseases are due to excessive pressure. Shoulder related diseases come from a strong sense of responsibility. Heart diseases root from distorted concept of love. Waist related diseases indicate financial problems.
According to this set of theory, all kinds of diseases could be cured as long as trainees successfully find the exact “disease factor” and “eliminate the relative karma”.
Besides various roots in mind, the “consciousness-based deep communication” theory also preaches concepts such as previous incarnation, the underworld, ghosts, afterlife, psychic powers, etc., and advocates that every experience in this life is related to a previous life. Therefore, it claims that all problems such as family conflicts and relationship problems could also be solved by means of “communication”.
Ms. Yang once participated in this kind of communication. After the communicator asked her what she was worried about, Ms. Yang poured out her grievances: “My daughter suffers from mental retardation. So I live a hard life to take good care of her. I wonder where my hard life could finally stop.”
Through spiritual communication, the communicator led Ms. Yang into her “previous life”. It turned out that in her past life, Ms. Yang was a landlady while her current daughter was her servant girl back then, and she abused her servant girl to death. Therefore, in this life, that servant girl became her daughter to “collect debts” from her.
The communicator asked Ms. Yang to talk to the soul of her daughter. And the “soul” told Ms. Yang that she would return to normal in one year. However, after 2 or 3 years, her daughter still suffers from the mental illness.
It’s quite common to see such absurd statements in the company’s propaganda.
During the “communication”, some wives with cheating husbands found out that they and their husbands were “comrades” in the previous life where they were saved by the cheating men. Therefore, in this life they became women to thank them for saving their lives. Some people found out that they were famous ministers in the late Qing Dynasty or big trees in their previous lives. Cases like these were too many to enumerate.
This set of heresies also claims that by communicating with “infant spirits”, one could solve infertility and deep-rooted psychological disorder, make great progress in career, and gather wealth. Additionally, by communicating with previous incarnations, people could enjoy happy married lives.

Some people died from obsession with the “communication”
During the investigation, the police found that women, especially middle-aged women, accounted for the majority of customers of the Endorn Company. Actually, this is the result of careful selection by the Endorn bosses because the company believes that “middle-aged women are often troubled by work, emotion, marriage as well as parent-child relationship while lacking of channels to release psychological pressures or friends to talk with. So, they often turn to deep communication for emotional reasons and then get addicted to it.”
In order to target this group, the Endorn Company frequently went to schools or kindergartens to organize public lectures and parent-child activities to lure people in with the bait of “free trial”.
The so-called “communication”, which seems to be a discussion or chitchat, actually adopts lots of hypnosis techniques in western psychology. By means of induction, the communicator makes the prey do divergent thinking so that the victim could mistake imagined visions for “previous life” or “Karma” and become fully convinced.
In order to make their customers believe them without a shadow of doubt, the company declared the successful development of the world’s first “spiritual wave meter”, a device with a laptop and a pair of earphones. They claimed the meter could detect many things about people such as emotions, physical conditions, spiritual seeds, Karma in the past life, chakra frequency, missions of the soul, purposes of the current life, etc.
Faced with these carefully designed tricks, once a person got roped in, it would be impossible for him (her) to break away from the trap. The police said, “Many member students told us that they could hardly step out of it once they started.”
After costumers became obsessed with the practice or desired to continue the “communication”, they would be told to participate in extremely expensive training courses. Once they joined training courses, they could not only continue the “communication”, but also learn the “consciousness-based deep communication” techniques.

This process requires lots of money. First, member students need attend two stages of the course with a tuition fee of 40,000 Yuan. Later, they need take a credit class to complete 8 credits with a tuition fee of 10,000 Yuan for each semester. According to statistics from the police handling the case, the total expense for a member student to complete all three stages of the course would be at least 100,000 Yuan.
Many member students were so obsessed with it that they even abandoned their families or ran into debt to attend the courses. Ms. Wang from Xinjiang Autonomous Region went to Shandong Province first to participate in the training. After graduating from the “mind and gene modification class”, she then went to Endorn headquarters in Foshan to attend the “perfection for reality class”, which cost her hundreds of thousands of Yuan in total.
In another case, Ms. Wu lost her life after she tried to cure her diseases by means of “deep communication”. Her mother recalled Ms. Wu once told her that it was a magical technique because diseases could be cured only by “spiritual communication” instead of medicine or injection.
However, when Ms. Wu was attending a senior communicator training, she frothed and fell down on the ground due to sudden onset of her illness. According to the description of people in attendance, the communicator didn’t stop “communication” and kept saying to Ms. Wu that “please have your soul go back to your body and dominate it again.” In the end, Ms. Wu died despite emergency rescue efforts.

A well-designed promotion system
Not satisfied with tuition fees earned, the company carefully designed a promotion path where people could start from trainees, then to communicators, and eventually to leaders in branches so as to earn more money.
Member students can become certified communicators by taking courses to accumulate credits. After paying a certain fee, they would be authorized to set up branches in China so that they could start to make money with the company’s “technology”.
In this system, many member students changed their goals from solving psychological problems to becoming communicators and set up branches of their own.
For example, Ms. Li, a member student from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, had been unable to achieve enough credits to graduate after spending all her savings, so she started borrowing money to support her training course. Ironically, when the company was seized by police, she still hoped the person in charge of the company could “show mercy” to her by issuing her the certificate for communicators.
However, even with a communicator’s certificate, a large amount of money was still needed to be paid before authorization for opening a branch was granted.
The franchise fee ranged from 100,000 Yuan to several hundred thousand Yuan. After receiving the money, the company would provide with courseware and teaching materials in the form of videos and books for opening classes.
Only courses of the first stage could be carried out in local branches, while courses of second and third stages had to be learned in the headquarters in Foshan. Therefore, at the beginning of every year, each local branch had to pay the Foshan headquarters a large amount of tuition fees in advance that were enough to support 10 member students for their second-stage courses. Only after 10 member students were sent to the Foshan headquarters for second-stage courses, the tuition fees paid in advance could be returned to local branches.
Only 40% of the tuition fees paid by member students could be owned by local branches while the rest 60% would be collected by overseas headquarters and the Endorn Company. According to police handling the case, Ms. Xiao, the person in charge of the Suzhou branch in Jiangsu Province, only received two video training discs after paying a franchise fee of 300,000 Yuan. By the time the Endorn Company was banned, she still owned a franchise fee of 300,000 Yuan to the overseas headquarters.
While franchisees suffered terrible losses, the Endorn Company made considerable profits. In its peak time, the company had totally as many as 57 branches in 24 provinces and cities, and illegally accumulated more than 63 million Yuan by way of fees for trainings, franchise, communications, and spiritual wave meters, etc.
On January 22, 2020, the People’s Court of Chancheng District, Foshan City sentenced 10 leaders of the illegal organization to prison terms in the first trial of the case. In the near future, the case will usher in its second trial verdict.
The reporter found that in recent years, the police in Shenzhen, Wuxi and other places had cracked similar cases. The suspects in those cases carried out harmful trainings or pyramid schemes under the guise of “psychological consultation”, “leadership training”, or “curing diseases”, which were so deceptive that many people got lured in.
In this regard, experts tell reporters during interview that in order to effectively fight against “harmful trainings” and “pyramid schemes”, lots of publicity works have to be done in the community level to have people realize the real danger of them and be on alert against them. And at the same time, the government departments should work together to jointly review situations, timely investigate clues, and greatly strengthen controls and management at the source.
