During an interview with Chinese and overseas reporters at Zhengzhou Prison, Liu Yunfang indicated that a disease contracted by Falun Gong practitioners can not be regarded as disease but a punishment for bad deeds conducted in their previous existence. Liu Yunfang was imprisoned because of participating and instigating the Tian'anmen Square self-immolation incident in the early of 2001.
Despite the Falun Gong has been banned by Chinese Government, and that his fellow practitioners involved in Tian'anmen Square self-immolation incident have all waken up from such a nightmare, Liu Yunfang, however, is still seriously obsessed in Falun Gong.
Among those who have participated in the self-immolation incident, Liu Yunfang is the only one that is still seriously obsessed in Falun Gong. During the incident, Liu poured gasoline on his body but did not set himself on fire, arguing irrationally that he didn't reach such a "consummative" stage so that he couldn't light himself up.
Liu Yunfang, whose eyesight was a little bit confused, alleged that Falun Gong is a "legal religion". He said that Li Hongzhi is not a human being, he is a god; He even said he spoke for his master and not from an ordinary people.
When a reporter asked: "As for your term 'master', who do you refer to? "
Liu Yunfang answered without any hesitation, "It is Li Hongzhi, the greatest Buddha in the universe!"
The reporter questioned further, "While you are so obsessed in 'Falun Gong', your master didn't recognize you as his disciple!"
Liu answered angrily, "I have heard of that. Indeed I don't care whether Li Hongzhi recognizes me or not. As a follower, I will insist on what I believe in as long as I think it is proper."
"Why didn't you light yourself up in the Tian'anmen Square self-immolation?"
"It is not that I didn't light. I have tried several times but failed, as self-burning was not a test destined for me."
"Do you regret for having not lit yourself up? Would you still set yourself on fire if you have one more chance?"
Liu Yunfang denied, "No, I don't light myself up, because the master want me to live. If I committed self-immolation, I shall not sit here in front of you all. I will follow the great law to commit self-immolation if it demands me to. But the great law does not ask me to do so."
"Can you penetrate walls?"
Liu Yunfang didn't answer the question directly but told the reporters one story. According to Liu, in an evening of 1997, when he was practicing Falun Gong, he suddenly heard his master calling him near the lake. As there were several houses between his family and the lake, he penetrated the wall and get to the lake without any difficulty.
Liu looked at the reporter and asked, "Don't you think I can penetrate wall?" Such a rhetoric brought forth a burst of sarcastic laughter.
"Can you go on practice 'Falun Gong' in the jail?" asked the reporter.
"No, I cannot. But I still practice it in my spirit. I am equally treated as Wang Jindong and others. Police take a great concern over us, and never swear and scorn at us. I can read books on science and philosophy and newspaper and watch TV as well.
"How do you think of Xue Hongjun and Wang Jindong who has converted?"
"Both of them had been firm 'falun Gong' followers, but they say that 'Falun Gong' is a cult since the self-immolation as the master don't visualize in front of them. The master have instructed us to achieve 'consummative' stage with any cost. Since they cannot understand such a 'truth', they have abandoned 'Falun Gong'. "
Liu Yunfang, sixty years old now, started practicing Falun Gong on February 1995. He didn't cast off the cult even to date.
Liu told the reporters that he cared nothing but Falun Gong, and that he even didn't want to see his family members as they were earthling and different from him.
Liu Yunfang, when would you wake up?
