Defending dignity in bravery

I must intensely protest an article published by the Epoch Times on July 7 with the headline regarding  "Canadian investigators of independent status confirms the Chinese Communist Party's live organ harvesting". This is an act of extreme arrogance and deception!

First of all, this headline intentionally misled readers to believe that an "independent team of investigators" from the "Canadian authority" went to China and "witnessed the Chinese communist's vital organ harvesting". After reading the content of the article, one will find that the so-called investigation was done personally outside China, not by the government. It was done by a former liberal politician who was defeated in the election, and a lawyer saying that he "got some evidences". They accused the Chinese Communist Party in a "misleading" way with vicious purposes.

To avoid prejudice and to make sure the investigation is fair, it must be done by members of the independent team who have nothing to do with the issue. In fact, this was not he case. One of the members participated in the so-called "simulative trial" against the Chinese leader by the Falun Gong in 2003, and another is the lawyer that represented the Falun Gong in a lawsuit in which 5 top Chinese leaders were listed as the respondents. It is hard to believe the so-called voluntary independent investigation can be fair enough that one will ignore their relations with the Falun Gong.

Though several local newspapers reported their press releases last week, up to now we haven't seen a single word about their "news" from the Chinese media, why? The answer is that Li Hongzhi and his organization of Falun Gong have been considered untrustworthy and nobody believes them! It is unworthy to report their statement.

Li Hongzhi and his organization of Falun Gong tend to confuse people by superstitious preaching and lying. It has become their habit. Nothing is substantiated for one to believe, not to mention the so-called "evidences" provided by the organization of Falun Gong. That the Falun Gong lost their lawsuit proves their behaviour.

As to the "report of investigation", my preliminary understanding is that the so-called "evidences" were provide by the organization of Falun Gong. If the investigators never entered China, how could they find out the facts?

Generally speaking, an important report like this should follow the "W5" rule of journalism (namely WHERE WHEN WHO WHAT WHY). But their's is based on telephone interviews and self-affirmation that isn't convincible. When a reporter of Agence France Presse asked about the origin of the so-called "evidences", the defeated politician admitted that "many materials are second handed". Even so we will not rule out the possibility that the "evidences" were fictionalized and forged.

We are used to the fabrication of news by the Epoch Times. By a report that emphasized "Canada's confirmation", what did the Epoch times intend to propagandize? At least we can see that they once again stamped upon the friendly image of the Chinese, discrediting China and it's people. I may frankly say that The fictionalized "Sujiatun" event and the superficial evidences of this "report of investigation" are simply Falun Gong's means to smear the Chinese Communist Party and the image of the Chinese people as they did so far.

As Chinese, should we make our own response? Should we put up our courage to express our disaffection and stand up to protect the traditional friendly image our people have build up so far? Moreover, we just accomplished the mission of Head Tax. Besides obtaining the compensation for the victims, it is important that the discrimination we were subjected to in the past has been justified by an official apology by the Canadian government. Our dignity has been regained and we can be more confident to live on.

Therefore, we will not allow any anti-Chinese influence to harm us again, and have the calamity extend to our next generation. We will not allow our dignity to be offended ANY MORE.
