1. The New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) affiliated to the "Falun Gong" and the "Divine Performing Arts" plan to stage so-called "Christmas Gala", "New Year Gala" and "Divine Performing Arts Gala" in a number of US cities from December 2007 to January 2008. Recently, they are vigorously publicizing and selling tickets to the so-called "galas" in order to inveigle the public into watching the show.
2. The "Falun Gong" organization preaches anti-humanity, anti-science and heretical fallacies and exercises extreme mental manipulation on followers. It is nothing but a cult. Li Hongzhi, the chief ring leader of "Falun Gong", says that the mankind has been destroyed 81 times, that the earth is about to explode very soon, and that he is the only savior of man. He says that the earth is the biggest dumping ground in the universe, with the United States being the largest of all on earth, and that by practicing "Falun Gong", one could cure any disease without the need to seek medical assistance or medication. He even claims that the Holocaust of Jewish people by Hitler was a result of the changes in celestial phenomena. While preaching "Falun Gong" cult doctrines, Li Hongzhi committed numerous crimes that endangered the society, violated human rights and destroyed lives. According to incomplete statistics, over 1,000 practitioners died because they followed Li's teachings and refused to seek medical treatment for their illnesses. Several hundred practitioners committed self-mutilation or suicide. Over 30 innocent people were killed by mentally deranged practitioners of "Falun Gong". These facts show that "Falun Gong" is a cult organization harmful to the society and violating human rights. It is a cancer of the modern, civilized society.
To protect the legal rights and interests of the general public from the harms of "Falun Gong" cult, the Chinese Government outlawed "Falun Gong". This was endorsed by the whole society. However, this cult has found breeding ground in the United States, where it is surviving and developing. In addition to continuing to cheat the public and preach cult doctrines through various means, the "Falun Gong" cult organization in the United States spared no effort in organizing anti-China political activities, divested its own cover as a so-called "religious group" and degenerated into an anti-China political organization. It fabricates stories of "persecution", attacks and slanders the Chinese Government, files false charges against the Chinese Government institutions and officials, harasses Chinese Embassy, Consulates and visiting delegations and tries every means to disrupt or undermine the Beijing Olympic Games. Working hand in glove with other overseas anti-China forces, it clamors for undermining social stability in China and overthrowing the Chinese Government. This cult has put itself completely against the Chinese nation.
3. NTDTV claims to be an "independent public media organization serving Chinese people all over the world". But, in essence, it is a mouthpiece of "Falun Gong" in cult and anti-China propaganda. Peppered with limited news and teleplays as a camouflage, NTDTV programs concentrate on undisguised preaching of "Falun Gong" cult doctrine and slanderous rumors and attacks against the Chinese Government. Its close ties with the "Falun Gong" cult have been disclosed by some US media in recent reports.
In recent years, NTDTV staged so-called "galas" during Christmas holidays and the Chinese New Year festival in the name of showcasing the Chinese culture and the oriental charm. It has even put together the so-called "Divine Performing Arts" group. Such "galas", with their pretentious mystification, were patchworks of programs with low artistic value and were full of implied preaching of cult doctrine and attacks on the Chinese Government. For example, the NTDTV "Chinese New Year Gala" in Washington DC at the beginning of 2007 was full of stuff such as "Chakyavatin" which eulogized Li Hongzhi, "In Praise of Three Virtues" and "Finding Truth" which preached the cult doctrines and "To the Rightful Place" which defamed the Chinese Government. Li Hongzhi himself openly said that the cult's "galas" served a greater purpose than entertainment for the general public. The truth is that the so-called "galas" were nothing but a sheer political tool used by "Falun Gong" organization to spread cult and anti-China propaganda. They were an insult and distortion of the Chinese culture and a deception to the audience.
4. Every year during the festival season, the American public always organizes various forms of celebrations and performances to share their happiness and express their good wishes for the new year. The Chinese culture, with its rich variety, is immensely popular among the American people. But when attending or supporting relevant celebrations and performances, one needs to be vigilant against the NTDTV and its "galas, stay away from them and avoid being deceived and used by the "Falun Gong" cult.
