How Falun Gong treats human life

2009-04-08 Author:China Association for Cultic Studies

Falun Gong propagates "one's master soul does not become extinct," claiming that when a person dies, only his flesh body is taken off and he feels extremely wonderful; that when a practitioner reaches Consummation, he can get into heavens without his flesh body.

Li Hongzhi said: "From a high level, we find that when a person is dead, his Primordial Spirit does not become extinct." (Zhuan Falun)

"When a person dies, only the layer of the largest molecules the human shell or this layer of molecules on the surface dies and falls away from this dimension. How could your real body that's composed of microscopic matter die?" (Teaching the Fa at the Assistants' Fa Conference in Changchun)

"At the very moment of death they did not feel scared; on the contrary, they suddenly felt a sense of relief, with some sort of subconscious excitement. Some people felt free from the bondage of the body and could levitate very lightly and wonderfully." (Zhuan Falun)

"In this cosmos, 99.9 percent of the numerous cultivation ways in the past and heavenly paradises in different cosmic bodies didn't need bodies." (Teaching the Fa at the Assistants' Fa Conference in Changchun)

To reach Consummation, Li Hongzhi asks his followers to give up their attachments to human body.

"If you succeed in cultivating into a great god or a great Buddha…You will be able to hold the earth in your palm with no effort at all." (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Europe)

"When he succeeds in cultivation later on he'll get whatever he wants just by extending his hand, he'll have anything he wants, and he'll be able to do whatever he wants to he'll have everything in his world." (Zhuan Falun)

"If you can let go of life and death, you're a God; if you can't let go of life and death, you're a human." (Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia)

Poisoned by Li Hongzhi, many Falun Gong followers readily believe his fallacies, so they do not cherish their mortal lives and take their bodies as "vile human skin bags." In order to reach Consummation, some even kill themselves.

On July 3, 1999, two Falun Gong practitioners, 27-year-old Chang Haochi and 50-year-old Li Jinzhong, firmly believed they had already "reached Consummation" and could "ascend to heavens." So they sit face to face at a patch of open ground outside the village, killed themselves by burning.

On November 25, 2001, about 5:00 p.m., Fu Yibin, a Falun Gong practitioner living in Xicheng District of Beijing, cruelly killed his father and wife and seriously wounded his mother at home. Fu later confessed: "After practicing Falun Gong, I regarded them as figures in a shadow play or walking corpses because they did not understand the true meaning of human life. When I cut their flesh bodies with a kitchen knife, I felt as though I was cutting dogs or cats. He was my father just in the formation. His flesh body already degenerated it was time to get rid of his flesh body." "That I killed them meant I saved them. After all my family members cultivate into the Land of Ultimate Bliss, the whole family will live and enjoy ourselves there for ever."

Falun Gong advocates that homicide can "bring people into heavens," and is a way to settle malevolent predestined relationships with benevolent solutions.

Li Hongzhi said: "If a large being is killed by someone, then that person's sins and karma become enormous, especially when it's a human being who is killed. So when someone has generated such karma he has to pay it off…But as for the very real, awful situation the beings are in, their painful enduring, and their material loss after they are killed, the cultivator will have to, in the process of consummating everything of his own, save those beings or repay them with blessings using the fruits of his cultivation. Then from that perspective, the compensation the killed beings receive far exceeds what they would have received among humans. And this has thus settled malevolent predestined relationships with benevolent solutions." (Dafa Is All-Encompassing)

"At the same time, a portion of the lives that you harmed will become beings in the paradise you will have after you Consummate, so it will turn into a good thing. If the to-be-harmed life knew, 'Oh, I'll go to a Buddha's paradise in the future,' it would stretch its neck out to let you kill it. It would happily, cheerfully let you kill it." (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Switzerland)

On March 1, 2002, Lin Chunmei and Wen Yuping, two Falun Gong practitioners from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, killed Mai Xinping, a waitress who worked at Hongbin Hotel, Xianyang City of Shaanxi Province. The two claimed their purpose of killing was to "save" Mai Xinping. Interviewed with journalists, Lin Chunmei said: "You think we two are killers, but we think we are good people Ms. Mai was saved to heaven and enjoyed herself there after death." "Our view of life is different. You ordinary people think that murder means to kill a person's flesh body; we cultivators believe that murder is to kill a person's master soul."
