Stirring up hatred for China

2009-04-08 Author:China Association for Cultic Studies

Falun Gong wantonly fabricates lies that Chinese government is "persecuting" Falun Gong practitioners.

In Falun Gong media, the most popular are the so-called Wei Xingyan case and Li Yanhua case.

"Wei Xingyan was raped in public"

In May 2003, Falun Gong fabricated a story that Wei Xingyan, a graduate student of Chongqing University, was arrested for "telling the truth," and later raped in public by a policeman of Baihelin Detention House in Shapingba District. Later, Wei Xingyan went on a hunger strike to protest, and the police damaged her windpipe and esophagus by force food injection, such that she was not able to speak and her life was at stake.

The investigation by the Chinese police authority revealed that there was neither such a major called "high voltage DC power transmission and simulation technology," nor a student named Wei Xingyan, let alone an incident of "Wei Xingyan being raped by a police man." The rape case of Wei Xingyan was a sheer lie cooked up by Falun Gong practitioners Chen Shumin and Lu Zhengqi following Falun Gong's instructions. Therefore, Chongqing University refuted the rumor publicly. In February 2004, the First Intermediate People's Court of Chongqing publicly judged the Chen Shumin case, which was covered by the media. The fact proves that the rumor was fabricated by Falun Gong.

"Li Yanhua was persecuted to death"

In "Nine Commentaries" cooked up by Falun Gong, a case was quoted: On February 19, 2001, Li Yanhua, a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoning Province, was kidnapped by the police while she was distributing leaflets of Falun Gong, and beaten to death.

The investigation revealed that the so-called persecution of Li Yanhuawas fabricated by local Falun Gong followers.

Li Yanhua, female, 58 years old, was from Dongjiang Village, Nanlou Economic and Development Area, Dashiqiao City, and began to practice Falun Gong in 1994. On February 19, 2001, Li Yanhua's diabetes occurred abruptly en route of distributing illegal Falun Gong leaflets required by the Falun Gong Headquarters. She died after emergency treatment.

At 23:00 o'clock on February 22, four Falun Gong practitioners, Wang Changshun, Xu Zhengqiang, Liu Qingnian and Lu Guozhan, carrying camera, screwdriver, and electric torch, stole into the mortuary of the Donghuan Hospital. They dragged out the corpse from the ice chest, threw the body onto the floor, and stripped it. Wang Changshun took seven photographs. In the mortuary was left a poster written in advance reading "Beaten to death by police, Li's spirit calls for a redress." Later, an article counter to the fact dictated by Wang Changshun and recorded by Li Ying, was turned into leaflets for distribution, and posted on Falun Gong websites to make sensations.

The Chinese citizens are extremely upset by these lies.

This is just part of many so-called persecution cases.

"Sujiatun Concentration Camp" and "harvesting organs alive"

"Sujiatun Concentration Camp" and "harvesting organs alive" are two related rumors fabricated by Falun Gong aiming at discrediting and attacking China.

From March 2006, Falun Gong started to propagandize the rumor of "Sujiatun Concentration Camp Incident," which claimed that 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners were imprisoned in a hospital in Sujiatun District, Shenyang, Liaoning Province, and after organs of most of the practitioners were harvested alive, the corpses were burned for destroying evidence. Soon afterwards, all investigations by the Chinese government, USA Embassy to China, and some media from China and abroad, proved that it was a sheer lie. After this rumor was exposed, Falun Gong shifted the focus to claim that there existed a large amount of "live organ harvestings" in other parts of China.

Later, two Canadians, David Kilgour and David Matas, intending to attack the Chinese government, pieced together the so-called Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China, which was full of loopholes.

The so-called "Chinese spies"

In June 2005, a defected former Chinese diplomat, Chen Yonglin, for the sake of settling in Australia, fabricated a story that there were about 1,000 Chinese spies being active in Australia, and several kidnappings were done by them. Thus Falun Gong propagandized that "the Chinese spies were threatening sovereignty of other nations" so as to excite anti-China agitation among the Western nations.

In the same year, Falun Gong fabricated and propagandized the rumors of "CCP's three-year special agent program" and "Chinese spy network," after Hao Fengjun, a policeman from Public Security Bureau of Tianjin, defected and fled to Australia, in order to spoil the relationship between China and Japan, Australia, USA, Canada and etc.

In October 2006, Sing Tao Daily and China Times in Netherlands reported objectively the incident of man-slaughtering and body-cooking by a Falun Gong follower in Netherlands. Afterwards, Falun Gong made attacks on its websites against the Sing Tao Daily by describing it as "a CCP special agency overseas" and fabricating that "the CCP carrying out secret service by making use of the media."

Accusing the overseas Chinese and Chinese students abroadwere CCP agents

Whenever the overseas Chinese, patriotically and in all conscience, questioned and rejected Falun Gong's fallacies and actions, Falun Gong would regarded it as "persecution," and whoever executed the "persecution" would become the CCP special agents at once.

In Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference, Li Hongzhi fabricated that China had sent "Great numbers of agents out into the international community to persecute Falun Gong."

Falun Gong spreads the rumor widely that the Chinese student communities in American universities were CCP's overseas secret agencies.

In 2007, the New York University Chinese Culture Club, for living a tranquil life, boycotted the so-called International Chinese Classical Dance Competition at New York University. Falun Gong media accused the club by spreading rumors that its chairman was lured into acting as secret agent of the CCP, and the club had degenerated into a secret service. The People Daily, a Falun Gong mouthpiece, smeared the Chinese General Consulate in New York that "it manipulated more than 60 students who were actually planted agents in American universities" and "the Chinese culture clubs of American universities had reduced to overseas secret agencies for executing political tasks manipulated by the CCP.

Alleging people in protest against Falun Gong were accomplices or secret agents

In May 2008, local residents in Flushing, New York City were outraged by Falun Gong's interference of beating drums and gongs as the overseas Chinese were donating money for earthquake survivors in Sichuan. The people who presented protests were described by Falun Gong as accomplices or secret agents of the CCP.

The New York City Councilman of Chinese origin, John Liu and Assemblywoman Ellen Young, were vehemently attacked by Falun Gong, just because they did not make known their position of supporting Falun Gong in the above mentioned event. They were depicted by Falun Gong as "being bribed passively and actively throwing themselves into arms of the CCP."

Because the Flushing Event was reported objectively by the overseas Chinese language media Daily World, Sing Tao Daily, Ming Paoin New York, and China Journal in Chicago,Falun Gong accused them as "lackeys and thugs hired and planted abroad for persecuting Falun Gong followers and fooling overseas Chinese."

Accusing patriotic overseas Chinese as CCP agents

In October 2008, Zhang Danhong, director of the Department of Chinese Language Radio at Deutsche Welle, was deposed for her pro-China speeches. In the event, Falun Gong not only declared for no reason that Zhang was a CCP agent and required that "Bureau of Federal Constitution Protection should take consideration of putting Zhang on its investigation list," but also seized the opportunity to put a label of CCP agent on all overseas Chinese. "It is a riddle forever how many Zhang Danhongs have been bought and planted globally by the CCP," and "there is no much difference between the instigated German who volunteered to act as executioners for Hitler to kill the Jews, and the overseas Chinese not receiving money from the CCP," Falun Gong said, "All of them live abroad with foreign passports and work for other government, but they are always selling repeatedly conscience to the autocratic CCP."

Sabotaging international cultural exchanges

In January 2006, the Same Song, a CCTV music show, gave successful art performances to overseas Chinese in Toronto, Canada and New York, USA, but Falun Gong smeared the show as "a unified front tool by the CCP to infiltrate ideologically." Deliberately inciting disharmony between overseas Chinese and local residents, Falun Gong said the show was aimed at stirring up "narrow nationalist sentiments" among the overseas Chinese.

As the Chinese immigrants were increasing and their social status upgrading, the Canadian TV networks were not able to provide multi-language and variable program broadcasting. On January 7, 2006, more than seventy representatives for overseas Chinese and exchange students, met in Toronto, and signed to apply to the CRTC for the Chinese Great Wall TV package broadcasting in Canada. It would benefit the society, but was obstructed by Falun Gong, who claimed it was an ideological infiltration into Canada by China. On December 22, the CRTC ratified the opening of the Great Wall TV package of nine Chinese TV channels.
