Gao Junhong: The tragedy occurred beside me
Date: 2010-01-07 Source: Kaiwind

My name is Gao Junhong, 42 years old, a resident from Huolu Town, Luquan City, Shijiazhuang City of Hebei Province, and I work as a clerk for the Luquan Branch of Bank of China. Though I was obsessed by Falun Gong in the past; today I've got rid of its mental control thanks to the kind help of those patient volunteers. However, my friend Liang Lihua was not as fortunate as I for she died because of the influence of Falun Gong heretical fallacies in 2007.

Lihua was a southerner. After she got married, she began to work for a supermarket in Shijiazhuang where her husband lived. Though her family wasn't rich, she lived a happy life. Unfortunately, she suffered from lupus erythematosus in early 1999 and was treated at many hospitals like the Hebei Second Hospital, Shijiazhuang Municipal Hospital and Heping Hospital etc. According to doctors, such disease can hardly be effected a radical cure of but is controllable so long as the patient actively cooperates with the therapy and takes medicine on doctors' advice. But "men in a desperate plight will try any thing." Later in June 1999, Lihua was told that her sickness could be cured completely by practicing Falun Gong. Consequently, she bought books and started practicing. However, Falun Gong was outlawed only a month later. At the beginning, Lihua kept practicing Falun Gong and reading Zhuan Falun secretly at home. Later, in order to weep out the illness as soon as possible; and also poisoned and urged by Li Hongzhi's scriptures like "stepping forward to validate the Fa in the face of pressure", she managed to contact with an underground place where she practiced Falun Gong afresh.

In a small-scaled clandestine Fa meeting I got to know Liang Lihua, who looked kind and gentle at that time. Looking at propaganda materials in her hand, I asked, "Dare you hand them out publicly?" She answered sincerely, "If what our Master said is true that my Karma can be eliminated and that my disease can be cured, I dare tell everyone in the street in the daytime: it is Falun Gong that cures me of my complaint, so come and join us now! Not to mention sending out materials." Lihua and I felt like old friends at the first meeting probably because we had similar dispositions. Gradually we became intimate friends.

After that Fa meeting, she often asked me and several other fellow practitioners to exchange "understandings of studying the Fa" at her home. Once, we talked of her increasingly worsened illness and advised her to learn the Fa devotedly and to hand out more material, comforting her that once she reached Consummation, her body could be purified automatically. Inspired by our advice, her "enlightenment" emerged. And she said, "I have been taken advantage of by the Old Forces probably because I haven't strictly obeyed our Master's teachings, for instance, I take medicine and hesitate at giving it up. But now I've realized that I shouldn't take medicine after I promised to abide by Master's instructions. I firmly believe in our Master and Falun Dafa." Thereupon she made up her mind to "eliminate Karma" by practicing Falun Gong rather than to take medicine.

One afternoon of early autumn in 2007, fellow practitioners came to me in a hurry and asked me to visit Lihua who'd become seriously ill. As soon as we reached her home, we were shocked by a terrible scene: Lihua held a back cushion tightly, gasping with her mouth opened wide, trembling and sweating with her eyes closed. She couldn't open her eyes or say hello to us for quite a long while. Knowing that she was anxious to outdo others, I judged that she wouldn't have done this had she been able to endure it. Meanwhile, her husband, also a Falun Gong practitioner, said sympathetically, "You really should take medicine, dear. This is too much for you." However, she replied painfully, "No! Our Master wouldn't help me if I do not follow his teachings strictly." We echoed to support her and criticized him for his "unsteadiness".

Then we all concentrated on "sending forth righteous thoughts" for her. Yet, contrary to feeling better, her disease became even worse. We concluded that's because there were only a few of us present and our energy was too weak. So we decided that we summon more fellow practitioners to "send forth righteous thoughts" in the evening so as to increase our "energy field", helping her fight the sickness. In fact, our stupidity wasted the precious time to save Lihua's life, but none of us had come to realize it at that time. Instead, we all believed that our Master's Fashen would protect her.

Upon reaching her home in the evening, we found that Lihua's face was sallow and that she breathed with great difficulty. Her husband said, "I had no other choice but dialed 120 Emergence Call." We too were all at a loss, didn't know what exactly we should do to help Lihua. In order to make she feel comfort, I rested her head on my shoulder, restraining my tears with difficulty for fear that fellow practitioners might find out I was feeling terrible. After a moment, doctors rushed into check her and then asked us to carry her onto a litter. Unfortunately, she couldn't lie flat because of the extreme pain. So, resting her head on my arm, I offered to go to hospital with her by the ambulance. On the way to hospital, I encouraged her in a low voice continually, "You will succeed in this critical moment, and I know you can do it, thanks to our Master's protection." Nevertheless, she could say nothing.

More than an hour later, we surged into the first-aid room as soon as its door was opened. The doctors did not stop us. And one of them shook head and told us, "Prepare for her funeral affairs." None of us believed in her death, though we all saw a beeline on screen of the heartbeat monitor. A fellow practitioner whispered to us: she had read in the Minghui Net a miraculous story that by "sending forth righteous thoughts" the dying could be brought back to life. Turning hopeful anew, we decided to have a try. Thus, we rented a car by which we carried Lihua's body back home.

With everyone lending a hand, we put her body on a bed and spread cushions; then we sit cross-legged and began to "send forth righteous thoughts," hoping we could create a miracle. But over two hours past, her body stiffened little by little without any evidence of her coming back to life. An aged fellow practitioner suggested: "We'd better change the clothes for Lihua now; otherwise it will be extremely difficult for us to do so." So, we began to change her clothes, all disappointed. I was confused while taking away from her neck the amulet engraved with "Falun Dafa is good. Buddha will bless you if you believe in it". Where was our Master's Fashen? Why he did not protect the faithful and helpless Lihua? Was her death the "Consummation" Master Li promised? We discussed and quarreled one after another. Some said Lihua died because she had not followed Master's teachings strictly, and her attachment to illness had not been discarded completely. However, we all agreed that Master Li would procure a good position for her because of her final devotion to "Dafa".
