But the Supreme Court found he should be placed on an interim supervision order, after it heard "his manipulative and deceitful manner as well as intense egocentrism" meant he was at high risk of re-offending.

The NSW government made the application for the supervision order, Psychiatric and psychological reports showed Kamm has described himself as a "handsome, sexy, attractive man". that Kamm has a narcissistic personality disorder and is able to exert influence over vulnerable devotees.

Kamm, who founded the Order of Saint Charbel near Nowra, was said to have stated: "Women had great respect for me. Women stood in awe of me. Women were always attracted to me, like a magnet".

The court heard Kamm has continued to protest his innocence and maintain religious beliefs which once included that he take 12 young women as queens and 72 as princesses to bear his children.

Psychologist Dr Christopher Lennings reported that "his writings indicate that he has a special relationship with God that exempts him from both temporal and canonical law. If he is able to avoid supervision of his behaviour, his manipulative and deceitful manner as well as intense egocentrism and narcissism will likely lead to further attempts at offending ".

Acting Justice Robert Shallcross Hulme said on the basis of Kamm's past offending, apparent personality and dominant position in his religious community, he should be restricted.

The 28-day order means Kamm will be subject to strict conditions, including that he cannot change his appearance without approval, cannot use more than one phone and must not leave the state.
