GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — Three family members who helped take a Gilbert teen from his home as part of a doomsday plot have been sentenced to probation.
Spring Thibaudeau, her brother Brook Hale and her daughter Abigail Snarr all took a plea deal earlier this month after being charged with custodial interference.

On Tuesday, a judge sentenced Thibaudeau and Hale to 18 months of probation. Snarr received nine months of probation.
On Oct. 23, Thibaudeau and Hale took Thibaudeau’s 16-year-old son from his home in the East Valley to live in the wilderness.
The trio believed the teen was a “Davidic servant” who would play a “significant role” in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
The group reportedly went to Idaho and then to Canada.
Hale reportedly left a will, expecting the end of the world to be approaching.
The boy’s father said in October Thibaudeau was interested in end-of-day religious topics in 2015 while the couple attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that she gradually became obsessed with authors who wrote about doomsday.
The dad compared their beliefs to “Doomsday mom” Lori Vallow.
The victim was found at the U.S.-Canadian border in Alaska on Oct. 27.
Since Thibaudeau did not have custody, all three faced charges.
