79-year old farmer and sculptor Hu Shen, with the help of his wife, is putting his final touch to a clay ox sculpture in this photo published on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Hu Shen, a villager of Fengxiang County in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, has made over 10,000 clay sculptures of ox since last October. The painted ox sculptures, which are sold for 30 yuan (4.38 US dollars), have been wildly popular. Hu Shen's customers believe that the ox sculptures will bring them good fortune for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, or the Year of Ox, which will fall on Jan. 26, 2009. [Photo: sanqindaily.com]
