A milestone joint exhibition of Qing Dynasty cultural relics belonging to Emperor Yongzheng has begun at the Taipei Palace Museum.

A milestone joint exhibition of Qing Dynasty cultural relics belonging to Emperor Yongzheng (1678-1735) has begun at the Taipei Palace Museum.
The exhibition is a significant step forward under a cross-straits "practical communication" project launched by both palace museums of Beijing and Taipei. It is also the first time in 60 years that cultural relics from both Taiwan and Beijing have been exhibited in one museum.
246 valuable items of cultural relics on display involve files, historical manuscripts, maps, portraits, paintings, calligraphy, porcelain, colored glaze and agate.
Among them, 37 pieces are from Beijing's Palace Museum. They include portraits of Emperor Yongzheng and paintings of daily life, as well as some containers.
