BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The island nation of Kiribati celebrates its National Pavilion Day on Monday.
Kiribati Pavilion is inside the Pacific Pavilion in Zone B.
The 8,100-square-meter Pacific Pavilion is themed "Pacific - An Inspiration to Cities."
It hosts Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Tonga, Micronesia, Samoa, Fiji, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Marshall Islands, Nauru and Niue, as well as the South Pacific Tourism Organization and the Pacific Islands Forum.
It showcases the beauty of the countries, their culture and sustainable lifestyle - as well as the threat of rising waters caused by global warming.
