How Does Falun Gong Fraudulently Obtain “Political Asylum”?
Date: 2026-04-24

Falun Gong is not only a cult, but also a premeditated, organized anti-China political movement that distorts facts and slanders the Chinese government to serve its own interests. It colludes with and recruits individuals who have illegally left China or who have overstayed abroad, claiming “persecution” in China and alleging the existence of “organ harvesting.” It asserts that returnees will be “persecuted” again, which is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. Some individuals who have left illegally and remained abroad fake “persecution” evidence to extend their stay, and many are investigated or expelled by foreign immigration authorities. Regardless of who engages in illegal activity, they will be subjected to the law. The Chinese government and the relevant law enforcement and judicial agencies handle sect-related issues strictly in accordance with the law. Even for sect leaders and core members suspected of crimes, their basic rights and legal entitlements are fully protected; there is no real case of “persecution.” The Chinese government has always maintained that the vast majority of people misled by the cult are victims of its psychological control. Therefore, it consistently pursues a policy of “unity, education, and salvaging the overwhelming majority,” actively encouraging and helping those deceived to break free from the cult’s mental bondage, reintegrate into society, and resume normal life.
