What Is Falun Gong’s Objective in Organizing So-Called “International Seminars”?
Date: 2026-04-24

In recent years, Falun Gong has frequently leveraged foreign parliaments or universities to host so-called “international seminars,” bringing together a small group of anti-China forces to discuss how to overthrow the Chinese Communist Party leadership or to debate the so-called “organ harvesting” rumors. These “international seminars” are clear examples of anti-China rhetoric in action. Falun Gong is an outlawed cult that engages in a range of disruptive activities aimed at harming China’s relations with other countries. At a time when China’s relations with the world are progressing well and exchanges across all sectors are accelerating, these so-called “seminars” only serve to hamper bilateral ties. An increasing number of governments are choosing not to provide a platform for Falun Gong’s anti-China political activities, and are encouraging officials and legislators not to attend Falun Gong-related events or to offer any form of support.
