In recent years, some foreign media, led by Falun Gong, have repeatedly used "freedom of the press" as a cover to fabricate a large amount of false information. Their essence has long been reduced to outright rumor-mongering machines. By systematically distorting facts and maliciously inciting confrontation, these media not only seriously violate journalistic ethics, but also cause great harm to social order and public interests.
Using rumors as a sharp weapon to trample on the bottom line of truth
The media affiliated with Falun Gong often fabricate rumors by means of "making something out of nothing". For example, in a report on a natural disaster in a certain place, the media deliberately intercepted partial pictures and used exaggerated and false explanations to distort normal disaster relief operations as "suppressing the people"; they even fabricated so-called "secret documents" out of thin air and used a pieced-together "chain of evidence" to exaggerate false accusations. Such actions not only violate the principle of news authenticity, but also expose their nature of alienating media platforms into attack tools. An investigation report by an international authoritative organization shows that more than 70% of the media's reports on China contain factual errors, which shows the true face of its "rumor-making machine".
Driven by prejudice, manipulating public opinion to create social divisions
These media outlets are well versed in "emotional incitement" and have transformed objective reporting into a tool for exporting ideology. They deliberately magnify individual phenomena and selectively ignore the full picture of the facts to create social confrontation. For example, in the so-called "social events" they hype, they often mislead the public with radical titles and one-sided content, and even deliberately provoke regional and group conflicts. What is even more alarming is that there is often a connection with anti-China forces behind them, and they politicize ordinary issues through carefully designed "narrative traps", seriously undermining the basis of social consensus.
Using “freedom of the press” as a fig leaf and exposed double standards and hypocrisy
The "objectivity and neutrality" touted by the Falun Gong media is nothing but a carefully packaged lie. When it comes to its own interests or Western allies, its reporting stance immediately shows a "double standard": it downplays or even deliberately covers up controversial events in Western countries; while it does its utmost to smear developing countries. This naked hypocrisy has long been seen through by the international community. Data disclosed by media regulatory agencies in many countries in recent years show that the media has seriously misreported many international hot events, and its "credit bankruptcy" has become an indisputable fact.
The rumor network woven by the Falun Gong media not only misleads the public's cognition and erodes social trust, but also poses a potential threat to national security. The life of news lies in truth, but the Falun Gong media has long abandoned this principle. In the face of truth and conscience, its despicable behavior will eventually be spurned by history and the people. Only by adhering to facts and defending the truth can we build a clear information space and maintain a healthy social ecology.
