At the mention of Huang Haoxiang, Hu Huiyu, Huang’s wife, was always extremely emotional. She said her husband was killed by Falun Gong and he died by his fellow practitioners’ side, who were practicing with him. When Huang Haoxiang foamed at the mouth and fell to the ground, his fellow practitioners read Zhuan Falun to him, instead of sending him to hospital. After his family got to know the accident and sent him to the East Hospital, Huang had been unconscious. He was diagnosed as cerebral hemorrhage and died after several days’ coma in sickbed.
Huang Haoxiang, born on May 16, 1939, was originally a worker of Standard Component Factory, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. After retiring, he went back his homeland at Minsheng Village, Pudong new area, Shanghai. Huang suffered from hypertension with the diastolic pressure 120～130 and the systolic pressure above 220. His condition was stable for taking hypertension pill for a long time.
At the beginning of 1998, Huang had just come back home. His neighbor Zhu Wenjing told him that there was a good exercise, which once you practiced, you would never get sick. Even you had already been sick, you could get well without taking medicine after practicing it.
Comparing to Shanghai, such a high consumption city, the retirement pension of Huang in Chengdu was too low to pay for both the life and sickness. Hearing that practicing Falun Gong could cure diseases without seeing doctor and taking medicine, he was attracted by it. Huang began to practice Falun Gong in about March or April, 1998. He got up at 4 o’clock and went out for practicing Falun Gong with his fellow practitioners. After coming home, he read Falun Gong books and watched video tapes without interruption. Huang felt better after practice, then stopped taking any hypertension pill.
A year later in April 1999, Huang suddenly felt his body numb and had some mobility problems, which he knew were symptoms of hypertension. But at that time he believed Falun Gong firmly. Moreover, his fellow practitioners told him again and again that physical symptom of disease was the response of removing Karma; a practitioner could never seek medical advice and take medicine. As a result, despite Huang felt unwell, he still insisted on practicing and didn’t go to hospital. His fellow practitioners all incited him to keep practicing and not to see doctor. They said Huang was advanced in Fa study and he should hold on a bit longer, as long as the Falun ambassador came, he could become immortal. After resting for a month, Huang felt better, which he thought was the result of not seeing doctor and not taking medicine. Then he went to the practicing spot again.
On June 17, 1999, Huang felt unwell again when he practiced Falun Gong with other practitioners. He said to a practitioner Tang Yongfu that he had a severe headache. In fact, his blood pressure had reached an extremely high degree. But his fellow practitioners still advised him to practice and not to see doctor, saying that once he went to hospital and took medicine, the practice wouldn’t work anymore, and that this was the Master’s words and as long as he kept practicing, there wouldn’t be problems. Huang listened to their words and kept practicing.
At 5:00 a.m. on June 20, when Huang practiced meditation, he had a bad headache. At first he couldn’t move, then foamed at the mouth and fell to the ground. Nobody sent him to the hospital, they just read Zhuan Falun to him and said it could save Huang. After his family got to know the accident and sent him to the East Hospital. He was diagnosed as cerebral hemorrhage.
Huang died in coma on June 29, 1999.
