Mr. Zhang, a retired worker from the Changchun Electric Power Industry Bureau.
Suffering from cancer, Zhang had gone to see Li Hongzhi for treatment several times in stead of going to hospital. When he had difficulty in breathing, he visited Li Hongzhi again. The latter told him, "It doesn't matter. You've already recovered. The symptom of difficulty in breathing is temporary. I've already put a protective cover on you, and all sorts of evils will be driven away. You'll feel better within a couple of days." However, on the contrary, Zhang died days later.
When Zhang's family called on Li Hongzhi and asked, "Didn't you put a protective cover on him? How could he die?" Li Hongzhi replied, "Zhang had achieved divinity through practicing Falun Gong. Sitting on a lotus flower, he had gone to the world of Falun."
